It’s better for VT4 to be in front of Type 10 or TKX so you know how bad VT4 is.

No it’s not, lol. Japanese MBT’s have nothing but their reload speed, Japan lacks a proper top tier MBT, I’ve never seen a Japan plane performing CAS and I’m pretty sure a lot of top tier planes of Japan are kinda outdated at this point. Also their top tier IFV’s and wheeled vehicles suck. How I know that? Never ever I had a problem with a single japanese vehicle in this game, not even close. One-shot material, sometimes I feel like they’re gonna fall apart just from me looking at them. Not that long ago I brought a low tier puma to top tier, made a scouting flank and decided to just shoot someone when it was time for me to die, Type 10 - oneshot, yea yea APHE, but I hit an engine compartment, I wasn’t even aiming… And I do still feel bad about it…

Bro you have not played japan , what do you know about their top tier. Yeah all you do is look at stats card and judge the vehicle. You don’t know about the nation and vehicle why bother yapping

No, I play with them and against them. I doubt they suck so much because of the playerbase. It’s not Sweeden, but I do know a lot of decent players who started playing Japan only because they have Type 93 (AKA funny car go wrrr)
UPD: Though I can’t be so sure about air, because I haven’t been playing top tier Air RB recently (Phantom related issue)
But what you did was scratching the surface. TKX/Type 10 doesn’t simply have the best reload rate. What they make up for lack of armor is their mobility , that make it better than 4/8 nation in the game. Their air as of now is one of the best , if not the best behind the F15E. It is one of the best nation for a reason , sure there nothing left to added for the ground tree beside another subtree nation tank. But adding Vt4 and T84 doesn’t make any sense , even if the Thai have them. And the chinese player will not be happy if Vt4 in the jap tech tree for obvious reason

Now I assure you: the vast majority of Chinese players would love to see VT4 enter the Japanese faction. Preferably in front of the 10 or TKX :)

I wouldn’t say Japan is bad but for ground that is a reach.
Probably the more interesting side of a Thai sub tree with Alpha Jets, Gripens and modernised F-16s.

VT4 has a 7.1 sec reload, huge lfp that will resulte in a one shot uppon hit, aps is kinda useless, in term of pros and cons vt4 is equal to the Type 10, type 10 is fast and has a good reload but 0 armor, vt4 has ok tier armor, good speed but awfull reload. Only good reason to add the VT4 would be to add diversity to the 12.0 lineup that is lacking, in term of performance pretty sure player would still prefer to play the type 10 rather than the VT4, 7.1 second reaload really doesn’t worth the armor tradoff.

Adding VT-4, and u got yourself an all round worse tank, and Japanese players will take a while to get used to Soviet mobility lol. CAS wise, F15J(M) is doable, not insane but CAP + CAS at the same time, it’s pretty strong.

Agree, every country should have their own VT4 before their top MBT to make their ground tech tree more sucks.

Japan doesn’t need a VT4, despite Thailand owning units. But I would support the T-84 Oplot, it’s a good option for a non copy pasted vehicle which would add a lot either for the game with the armor innovations on the T-84 compared to the T-80 and for the tech tree eventually adding an extra 11.3 MBT.

I really do want the T-84 Oplot-T. Good optics, good mobility, insane armor. I wonder if it has a spall liner, as I have only found one article that says it has one and it doesn’t list a source.

That a good question , a few overtier doesn’t mean the tech tree is bad. F15JM is excellent at Air-Air combat. TKX/Type 10 is one of the best top tier tank. If that all you can see then please, don’t speak to me
You are the narrowminded one here. What about CAS? What about a top tier SPAA that can shoot things past 5km? What about F&F ATGMs? What about a competitive helicopter?
Top tier is more than “good tank” and “good A2A plane”

That another good question , I have been asking and seem like jap getting CAS soon but I do not agree with adding the T84/VT4
This is a universal problem for a lot of nation , I can’t do anything about it
That the general board for judging a TT. Most of japan plane/tank are solid , sure there are some overtier vehicle but there are also good vehicle as well. No TT is perfect and japan is not perfect but for a minor nation it is good enough. Not to mention it is better than major nation in some department. You can’t have everything , might as well enjoy the part where you are good
