Top tier Russia

As far as I can tell, being a testbed, it did not have any armour though.

Technically, as per gaijins implementation-rules for prototypes, it could receive its “planned” armour but only if there are official, realistic figures and even then it’s a bit of a stretch.

they have an entire spectrum of rules for that. The Chieftain 900 only got the “realistic” 4mm armor package but kept the mass, and the T58 got the real steel armor. Tho i want to believe it would have at least some protection.

its still a british vehicle so it gets british treatment

xD fair enough. Being britsh main is hard in war thunder. Well at least their tanks are cool looking and decent at playing.

british low tier is goated at least. 9.3 is also very strong

Playing Britain low tier ground is fun when you treat assists as knocking out enemy vehicles (or just using Churchill NA75)

its a good one with decent 6pdr cannons, yes. And later on 17pdrs are good. I mean the entire tree is basically good if skip some cacti that gaijin doesn not like or want to fix (hello 4005).
I like playing Britain alot, but i see some problems at top tier

agree

Conflicted, the picture looks weird yeah. Luckily enough it’s still in one of the US museums available yo see irl.

Yet you keep up the “hurr durr everyone keeps copying the Armata” cope, acting like the Armata was the first and only one to do it.

i exceeded my tog 2 game limit for a year after two sequential games of complete M O V E M E N T. I got 0 points just because TOG didnt keep up with battle xD

Yup, unfortunately it’s be a paper thin vehicle armour-wise.

Because it’s true? And I did use to respect you… but now when you say crap like cope, now I don’t. What happened to the respectable, debatable, awesome guy known as Renzo?

As far as the proto types, they came out literally about the same time

How?

A slight angle and you’re practically invincible, with a good cannon, and good pen.

You really only lack mobility.

That’s what I’m saying.

Ngl I’m pissed the USA is getting the m10 booker, a literal brand new tank as of 2025 that was already canceled due to weight…

M1 TTB was developed and built in the 1980’s, far predating the T-14 (which started development around 2010).
Object 195 (or Object 477; 1980’s) also predates the T-14.

Germany also had several crewless-turret concepts far predating the T-14, such as;

EGS - Experimentalträger Gesamtschutz (1995+) [Part of NGP (Neue Gepanzerte Platform) Program] [Test-Hull without cannon]

VTS-1 - Versuchsträger Scheitellafette (Trialed in 1979) [KPz Leopard 3 program]

Related concept/proposal: KPz Leopard 3 SL (Scheitellafette) (1979)

T-14 doesnt incorporate some sort of novel concept and is by far not the first, nor only vehicle based on it.

I wouldnt consider it to be more than a prototype either, given that it 1) Isnt in large-scale production and 2) has yet to be deployed in actual combat (and confirmed to be, random claims with no evidence do not count tbh)

In that was the case than Russia and US were copying themselfs, hard for the US to need to copy the Armata when they have already done most of the things it does themselfs.

Died a while ago together with the rest of my mental health and mental stability.

So which is it?

Did others copy the Armata? Or did several nations develope the idea at roughly the same time and independently from one another?
