an FoV of 0.75 degrees at 700m is around (?) to 8m - 9m, that’s big enough to see flares
Ok, then what about at closer ranges? and what happens when the missile comes off the rails does the seeker FOV not get smaller to only see the plane
Any closer and you’re better off using guns because even the R-73 doesn’t pull that hard in a really tight circle
I dog fight with my freinds all the time. If you get slow against it and it points anywhere near you, your fate is sealed. I’ve had it hit me when they are spinning out and I pass them sub 200 meters. The R-73 is a crazy missile and the dogfighting platform it’s on makes it crazy
These dogfights are against the worse Su-27 so I bet fighting the Su30 is way harder.
Su-30 is literally the 2nd worse flanker airframe, only beats a whale called the Su-34

77-1 are just a bit better 77’s, but not a match on 120’s during this su30 spam, I’ve died 2 times on 77-1 and 1 time on 77, countless times on 120.
it is still slow platform and those 77-1 feels they bleed energy on turning like jamaican guitarist consuming herbs.
Does statshark now include the new AOA limiter option? Or the thrust vectoring. It doesn’t look like it becuase the graphs are really similar to what they were before the maneuverability option was added.
Also to be clear in not calling the Su-30 the best. I was wrong about the R-77-1 which changes my view on the aircraft. However in a dogfight I do believe it is better than what most nations without a EF have.
I think it uses FRC Manual control, because there’s toggles for instructor mode and SAS dampening

I’ve yet to see how the F-18 can do against it but I doubt the little bit of turn rate is a saving factor. However I do agree that in most cases the rafeal will perform better

Ok but it good because of the R-73 or it is good because “I DOGFIGHT with my mate so I know all about Su30 and your claim is fake and biased” ? It is literally worse than the SSU27SM in term of FM. The only saving grace of the thing is the R-77-1, which itself is a sidegrade to the AIM-120 , along with it avionic being improved over the Su127SM
First things first I never claimed that. Second the dogfighting with my freind was to talk about the very strong R-73. Finally I also said that I admit that i’m wrong on some parts and that I also don’t think the Su-30sm is the best plane in the game.
