We’re talking about 7.7, not 5.7. In this BR APDS/HEAT is common on tanks.
T-54 is stuck with APHE so will struggle much more at penetrating enemies than contemporaries.
And they have the luxury of HEAT, which is capable of lolpenning you and other mediums. It can also effortlessly deal with 7.7 heavies, unlike your APHE. Some tanks like M48 actually come with APHE as well, so side shots are easy as well.
No ur not cuz ur enemies doesnt have good armor even against aphe so u 1 shot them
U dont need heat like m60 that has 185 pen aphe
Also u get alot of downtiers so penn is even less of an issue
Even on uptiers u can pen all mbts
Sure u will struggle against heavys pen weak spots still exist (btw the 103 hull is the same as m48 so its weaker then it showes in the pic)

You said that T-54 is really strong at 7.7, so no reason why to not take other strong 7.7s for comparison. M103, M48s and similar are all good tanks, T-54 definitely isn’t better than any of those.

I used APHEBC at the start but switched to APCBC because he wanted to.
It’s also viable to ask why aren’t Sabra and Gal Batash at 10.0 and 9.7 respectively.

M103 is indeed very strong but it has poor mobility and rly bad reaload as its a heavy tank and even then lfp or turret neck will do the job
If its magach 5 yes its a rare animal its very good but in short it has bad mobility and bad protection against apfsds so it cant go higher
The german one has better mobility thats why its 8.3 as far as ik

M60 and M48 are definitely problematic for that APHE.
If you speak about minor nation like France, then it’s needed to point out all the T-54 copies you’ll have to deal with at around that BR.

Large parts of the hull being immune to your shell isn’t just “a little”.
That is far, far away from “almost everywhere”.
M48 is easily better overall as it comes with way more advantages.
Mediums at 8.0 have bad protection against darts, that’s not an excuse. It also has ERA that is capable of stopping 105mm HEAT rounds, which is pretty good. Those two should definitely share the same BR.
While having 50 cals is nice its not a justification for a br raise bruh
