Oh… then quote next time 😂
Didn’t think it needed a quote since its a short comment…
I agree, I primary enjoy WW2 so have a bit more focus on it would be nice.
What makes it worse is the few we do get is often Battlepass or Event making them unattainable unless or A.) rich or B.) have the time to no life WT.
To make matters worse this also applies the early Cold War. This applies to Nations without a home who have hundreds of stuff, yet are brushed off from having a home due to a modernistic view of being “C&P”.
Are they really equal? (genuine question)
Afaik the HSTVL is faster, more survivable, and is smaller. The 2S38 isn’t even that bad undertiered, but it should be atleast 10.3 or 10.7.
No, the HSTV-L is much better as a light tank. As you said already, its faster, smaller, and more survivable. It also has more depression allowing it to be flexible.
Yea sounds about right.
Gaijin themselves said 70% of playerbase is BR7 or under. The polls and queues in the game reflect this constantly. No one wants to play that shit bar a small minority and wallet warriors and noobs. Here and reddit is more top tier than in the game. In the game, look at the queue. Unless it’s an event vehicle unlocked or a new premium in top teir it’s no where near as busy.
Not even mostly. The players who are only interested in modern, either buy in at high tier, or they quit after a week when they realize what the con is in this “free to play” game.
gaijin is one of the biggest game companies from somewhere. and it is very funny seeing wallet warriors getting sealclubbed to the point of uninstalling.
Most of the really important historical vehicles are already in the game. The only thing left there are the oddball one offs and the sketchy paper prototypes.
The only room for growth in the game is either expand the game into new features and modes, (your SPG or infantry, etc.) or chronologically at the higher tiers where not everything is filled out yet.
Gaijin does what it does because they think/know what will return the greatest value on their investment. Fancy modern weapons not only attracted new users to the game, but it acts to pressure existing players to spend money to reach those levels in has fabricated.
Gaijin is definitely not one of the biggest game companies.
I’m not sure what your second point is in reference to.
one of the biggest ones not eaten up by a bigger corporation, but technically still indie and I’m not counting Microsoft, sony or Nintendo studios in this. and I think just under 100k people playing as I type this is a good indicator that Gaijin isn’t a small company anymore
If you want to have a laugh read some of the negative reviews on steam, there’s a lot of “bought an abrams but this game is too hard” types there
100k concurrent users is not anything these days when that would be a slow day for newer/more popular titles.
You think that unbiased users find this game crap funny?
100k online. 20th on Steam charts too and steam makes up a majority of where PC gamers play games from. Not bad for a company you don’t see as one of the big ones.
I find the seal clubbing of new players at high tiers of games a funny but deserved punishment, don’t buy your way up in a game with a lot of complicated stuff and matches full of very very experienced players.
Gaijin markets the high tier packs to the mass gaming market to intentionally sucker new players in at that level. What the fuk is wrong with you?
¯_(ツ)_/¯ I didn’t spend £60 on a free-to-play game that i wasn’t sure I’d enjoy, they didn’t have to either its on them more than gaijin showing off their shiny premiums
Work on your empathy.
Im good thanks, I didnt buy an expensive product without the research or testing of the water
I play Air RB up to 8.0.
I came to War Thunder for WW2 to Korean era, and that’s what the game was marketed as back then.
I watch DEFYN on Utube, and top tier planes looks incredibly bad - games over in 5 mins, missile spam everywhere… no thx.
Unfortunately for me, it’s clear the $ is in top tier, and that’s why the focus is there now.
It would be nice if us WW2 focused players could get a few vehicles per update, even if it’s just a reskin or something.
I wish I could get SM.93, P.119, SAI.403, SM.84, Ca.331 and all the other cool Italian planes instead of multiple copypaste jets fulfilling top tier needs.
Yeah I gladly spend on WW2 (mostly) vehicles. Anything BR7ish and under I am down for if it’s a good/fun play experience.
But they don’t want to add things for people like us, which is so stupid. Imagine if they added a GE 234/4 mit AK7B (the recon version) for ~3-4k GE. People would scoooop that up. It makes a massive difference to the German TT lineup having that 234.
But no, they’d rather bait 20% of the total players instead to buy a single 60 euro premium and leave after 2 weeks, instead of many of us buying WW2 stuff over the year…
I can see where the money is to be made. Gaijin is sitting on a money printer and is treating it as such and it shows. They aren’t thinking about keeping core of the game population happy and playing and spending, they forgot us.
