Tips on the plane grind?

Im trying to grind planes but it just kinda sucks. Im grinding the f111A, f15, and a10 line and just got to rank 3.

Howdy! The US plane grind is somewhat of a long one (being that it’s a big tree) but can be quite fun (A lot of planes are under BR’d). So here’s a few tips!

  1. Don’t play for the grind, play for fun
  2. Buy premium time when it’s on sale
  3. But a premium vehicle, one that I really like is the XP-55, but a lot of other people rather play the XP-50 just because it’s more OP. A jet that’ll help would be the F-5C, yes even after the “nerf” of the BR changes everyone complains about, it is still decent enough to grind out the TT.
  4. Play other aircraft along the way. Things like the P-51D-30 and H-5 are very good and fun for their respective BR’s.
  5. US planes don’t turn/dogfight like other nations planes. You really need to use BnZ and hit and run tactics.
  6. Side climb. I can not say this enough, climb climb climb. US teams are especially terrible about this. Climb whenever you get a chance.
  7. Just have fun… :)

That’s all I can think of rn, I’ll post more tips when I get them. Hope this helps! :)

I second that.

The path is long and playing just to get to top tier will burn you out, and you might actually miss out on some crucial experience.

People see the new shiny F-15C with amraams, get it using premium planes to bomb bases and nothing else and suddenly they face players with thousand hours of experience without as much as knowing how basic things like tracers work.

Play for fun, not for grind.

play the game like intended, slow but learning things as they come available and go through the learning curve
or…

  1. buy f4s phantom
    2.bomb bases in air RB
3.learn nothing on the way to top tier
    4.reach top tier
  2. yap on the forum about russian bias

As someone who finished the Swedish tree and then moved onto and almost finished the US tree, how do tracers work?

PS. Radar assistance ftw.

I keked.

U.S planes are very heavy and made of paper meaning you’re limited to BnZ until you get to rank 5 (and a few rank 4s). Since BnZ is not even slightly in the meta, the grind will be very slow and painful, but honestly worth it.

You probably already know this at rank 3, but you don’t have to spade every garbage plane. Just use one good plane from that rank to do your grinding.

The screenshot is from DEFYN’s latest Premium and Talisman Guide. And yes I’ve purposely omitted higher ranks or you will suffer big time.
