Tips for New Helicopter users AT/AA

Hello fellow snail slaves. Did you just get your first helicopter from whatever nation the grinding way or the P2W way? Well no worries I will show you the best modification type of weaponry that best suits you for your new helicopter/helicopters and tips!

Helicopter basic information

If you just got lets say the first helicopter by actual grinding air/ground well nice. But now you have to worry about another tech tree for the nation. Now in my opinion unless your someone who likes to snipe, helicopters are NOT for YOU. I mean yea there’s close air support mods but who actually uses them and they are almost useless depending on what mod it is and what BR its at.

What Type Of User I Recommend

Sniper users. There are usually ATGM’s that are usually always already there without a grind. At the start the ATGM’s could travel around from 2-3km’s which is not bad… For SPAA mains… You see at the start you will get sniped unless you get into an comfy position and hide there. But Radar is a thing too. so shoot, hide, and pray.

Bought Helicopters

Now This is a problem if your completely new to helicopters. I recommend try get the first helicopter and make your way up as usually the premium helis are near top tier or are mid toptier.
But if you do know how to shoot and work the stuff… nice! But you still deffo need help. Firstly if its like the KA-50 it gets flares and AA missiles due to it being a AA/AT helicopter making it overall good for it. But you must only carry 1 type. There’s no mixed sadly. So plan out what you want to do. Look what the enemy team has in their air and on ground.

Summary

  1. Be a Sniper Like User.

  2. Be strategic, [e.g. Shoot, hide, pray.]

  3. Use ATGM like mods ONLY [unless you have AA missiles you can pick urself]

  4. If you bought a heli get used to controls by testing the Heli out in customs and or play ground battles with the starter heli at least.

Soz no pictures tho cuh

It’s also pretty helpful to take a Heli for a whir in a test drive and try setting objectives for yourself. The first week I got a Heli, I spent a few hours in sim landing on buildings, bridges, doing maneuvers and such, until I got really comfortable with the aircraft I was flying.

When I got more Helis, I did the same thing, and can now confidently land in capture points, or come in low and fast for rocket/gun strafes

Cheers and good luck
