Hi,
So recently I got the Challenger 2 after a few months of grinding, and, well, I keep dying. I know its hull armor isn’t the best, so I try to only expose my turret. But even when I get in a decent H-down position my breech gets sniped whenever I pop up to take a shot.
Am I playing it wrong? Any tips or anything for the Chally 2? Any advice would be appreciated

You are not playing it wrong. You are either rushing points alone, have bad situational awareness or cant react quickly enough.

What @viski253 said. If your breach goes instantly try shot baiting or start relying on binocs/command optic before peaking. Remember that your gun view is lower than the top of the turret.

So the idea for hte CR2s is try do a support role until you get a proper feel for the tank.
As it stand right now they arent that great for their Respective BRs, but it does have some merits, great optics fast reload for the first 4 reloads also has pretty respectable turret traverse, not extreme but good enough.
Try get people to shoot at your breach, and wiggle your turret so they hit the turret cheeks, the breach spot rather exaggerated though so take care.
It can be really good in hull down positions but the issue is getting to them reliably.
Overall, ? try keep people at arms length, once folks close the gap unless you’re extremely aware of where people are (good headset and experience of where folks usually go) you’re kinda at the whim of the enemy.
Basically for its BR play it as if you’re always in a full uptier and with caution.

Tried taking things slower, already showing improvement in my KDR, thanks to you, @Its_Filthy and @An_Pigeon

Its a slower paced tank, the 2E is a bit different and Black knight is more akin to the CR2 base model.
The TES and 2F dont think that ERA will save you from much unfortunately.
However the L27A1 round being a bit anemic it can cause issues, so try to learn as many cheeky weak points as possible, barrel shots, breach shots etc etc.

Yeah I’m able to reliably kill a T series with a shot to the lfp, but I don’t know how to kill Leopards, if you have any spots for those

- So for leopard 2, and STRV122s , the best bet is to shoot it in the breach first (its gun housing / trunion) is really weak same as most tanks.
-For leopard 2a5, 2a6 and below you can shoot clean through the UFP on the drivers side and kill the crew.
However for 2a7 and I believe strv 122+ you cant.

As well as this if you are in a close quarters situation try to get behind them, flanking etc, they have a really bad gun depression to their rear.

mainly, dont be scared of them. Id also advise on looking at the little feed at the top right when you shoot them if it doesnt kill them, sometimes people take too much ammo and it stores in the front bottom right (if the tank is facing you, bottom left of the tank if you are driving it)s side of the hull.
It can be a pain cause the DM53 is a great round but they aren’t ungodly tanks. Though the 2a7 and STRV122 should go to 12.3 if it was there.

Yeah i ran into one of those guys. His tank caught some airtime after coming up from a shallow ditch. Got a clean shot on the bottom of his hull and it blew his turret to kingdom come
