Don’t forget the PL-12s on the J-8F :P
Do I look like a CM? Ask one of them. All I know is that is a statement made earlier in the year.
Russian players calling EFT OP lol
A better option to get fnf weapons for the euro fighter would be spear as there are versions with it guidance
Those are cruise missiles tho. Not a weapon system represented in game yet.
This would be obviously wonderful, for some, but not for me or anyone elses that don’t have the preference to play and research equally powerful airplane platforms to counter those planes, I’ll mention the Su-34 for the sake of my statement but I really don’t want to start a argument, it’s a huge plane, anyone can counter it with other plane.
The few times I had a successful match on it is when the team spawned another Su-34 and a few other anti-air vehicles to counter planes and it worked very well. What kind of equipment other countries should recieve counter-equipment vehicles to be able to deal with said weapons?
Or this entire argument is only based on “Su-30SM have the Kh-38, which is a overperforming missile, we should get one even more.” which instead of making everything equal (which, will certainly, for air players specifically), is just to make top tier ground player’s life worse? Britain as example is recieving the TRLV Mk.I (I suppose, I’m not playing the DevServer), currently positioned in a battle rating where AGM-65s are popular, and this vehicle, despite the good radar, can’t track guided weapons, what I mean is just adding more filler without a answer to the problem: Close Air Support in ground battles, the amount of them.
2? You forgot about one, the Su-25M3 also has Kh-38MT’s ^^
So you agree on getting the Kh-38MT nerfed instead? Cause it’s the only option remaining based on your saying —and of course you won’t agree to it anyways—.
Let the brits get the true brimstones and become a decent competition to what the Kh-38 has become, while not being backed by a SAM system like the Pantsir.
I mean there is the Fighter/Attacker spawn cost difference in Grb that allows you to spawn 1 of each pretty cheap, then respawn in the other witbout a boosted SP cost, feasibly this would be done witb Su-34 and Su-30 but if you really liked the 25SM3 then you could swap it for the Fullback
on a one-on-one basis, a Brimstone 1 comes no where near the performance or effectiveness of a KH-38 or AASM, which can be found in moderate quantity on exceptionally strong CAP aircraft in the form of the Su-30SM and Rafale. (Su-34 is also the second strongest ground attack aircraft in game behind the F-15E… so its not exactly weak) They lack the range, speed and damage that both have whilst also not being FnF.
A Brimstone 2 does actually match the speed and range of the KH-38/AASM and therefore makes it a far fairer fighter. Of course the Typhoon can carry 3x more AGMs, but that is what a mitigation is for. At the moment that is the fact they are nerfed to be SAL only, which greatly inhibits how the Brimstones are used and how many targets you can engage at once. This is no different to the Su-39 having 16x Vikhrs whilst the Harrier Gr7 only had 4x AGM-65D.
In the future, when MMW becomes an option, of course an alternative method of mitigation is needed such SP cost based limitations, but for now SAL works, but the additional nerf of having the weakest AGM ontop of the only non-FnF AGM at top tier is extremely punishing.
This nerf is like limiting the Su-30SM to laser guided KH-29s because FnF KH-38s are too strong… It just makes no sense
Yes, it can get nerfed, in what way, reduced distance could work, but this won’t solve the close air support issue in ground battles.
Nowadays Panti-sir S1 is not effective as people say, the best deal to counter planes like the Su-34 is just picking up other plane, with a active radar homing air-to-air missile, like the AIM-120B which, I may be wrong, Great Britain has at least one plane equipping it.
This ‘nerf’ won’t change much, restricting to Kh-29T, as example, only would reduce the capability to engage more targets compared to the Kh-38MT, which the distance, still almost the same and cover the areas greater than any ground-to-air anti air system in-game.
I’d vote removal of the IOG. That way when you smoke, they self-destruct instead of tracking you through the smoke
It is still more opressive than any other SPAA system out there. The fact not even the Pantsir can properly deal with the current amount of CAS —that is in fact subpar to soviet— proves how downhill the state of affairs is right now.
not having IOG would be a decent gamechanger for it as it won’t do guesstimations on going blind through smoke, and it would probably self destruct during the final flight stage due to not having a solid lock, same as Mavericks.
But whatever.
And fix the god damn radar/irst
Yeah, that would help too. GMTI/T would be invaluable for SAL only Brimstones too
