“Thunderstruck” – Sherman Rocket Vehicle Collection
Hello everyone,
I have an idea that I think would be a fun addition to War Thunder while also bringing several historically interesting Sherman variants into the game.
Overview
My proposal is a themed collection called Thunderstruck.
Rather than adding one random premium vehicle every few years, Gaijin could introduce the many
Sherman rocket-launching variants that existed throughout history.
These vehicles would remain with their historical nation and be released as premium or event vehicles.
Nation Organization
Instead of placing every vehicle into one bundle, they would be organized by nation.
For example:
United States
Various historical Sherman rocket launcher variants.
Prototype vehicles where sufficient historical documentation exists.
The existing Calliope should NOT be included, since it is already available in War Thunder as its own premium vehicle.
United Kingdom
British Sherman rocket conversions released as a small bundle.
Israel
Israeli Sherman rocket variant released individually if only one historical vehicle exists.
Other nations could receive their own Sherman rocket vehicles if applicable.
Historical Accuracy
Only vehicles that were historically built, tested, or documented should be considered.
If a vehicle only existed as a prototype, it should still be eligible provided enough reliable historical information exists for War Thunder’s standards.
Cosmetic Reward
Each Thunderstruck package could include an exclusive decal.
My idea would be a decal featuring bold lettering reading:
THUNDERSTRUCK
with blue lightning bolts extending from each side.
It would be an exclusive reward for players who own one of the Thunderstruck vehicle packs.
Why I Think This Would Be Good
Introduces several unique Sherman variants.
Gives players more historically interesting premium choices.
Expands multiple nations rather than only one.
Celebrates a fascinating chapter of armored vehicle development.
Creates themed collections that many players enjoy.
