Thread for Possible solutions to the finnish KV-1E situation-?

Based on feedback from the original thread, I’ve simplified and clarified the proposal.

The first version combined too many ideas at once, which made the goal unclear. This updated version focuses on the core argument: adding a Finnish KV-1E to the Swedish tree would not devalue the existing German premium KV-1E, and in fact, would make both vehicles more historically accurate and useful in their proper contexts.

Adding a Finnish KV-1E to the Swedish tree would not devalue the German KV-1E currently in the game. Sooo here is why in a few pretty simple logical points^^:

  1. Different Functions
  • The German KV-1E is a premium vehicle: it gives bonus rewards, requires no grind, and helps with crew training.
  • A Finnish KV-1E in the Swedish tree would be a tech tree, event, or non-premium vehicle. It serves a different role. Ergo. Less rewarding-
  1. Existing Premium Keeps Its Value
  • The current KV-1E is no longer available without buying it on the Gaijin market. That makes it a collector’s item.
  • Adding another version doesn’t remove this exclusivity or change what players originally paid for.

Sooo basicly-

The German premium KV-1E stays where it is as a rare collector premium.
Germany can receive a proper German KV-1E as a separate premium/event.
Finland gets the historically accurate KV-1E in the Swedish tree.
No content is removed or replaced—just placed more accurately.

Again remember this topic should be respectful and be constructive thank you for taking time with this^^

Is kinda economy’s basic rule, you have two items: one is paid and the other is free, they have no differences between each other however one you can pay and the other just get it, if a lot of people get the one free, the paid one will have less value.

If you want to actively affect the Market, just add this tech tree KV-1E, may be event, people can just use Golden Eagles for it, may be premium people can just get it for a cheaper price compared to the KV-1B.

May be out of topic but the KV-1 (1942) has been promissed 3000 years ago yet to come to USSR tech tree.

Regarding the topic:

From my pov your thread is confusing like hell. Mainly as you combine a real asset swap (which is somehow comprehensible) with a swap of a skin for Germany and introducing a “new” TT / premium / event tank for the Swedish TT.

Mixing both topics make no sense at all - especially as the tank in the German TT is not available for new players.

Two separate responses:

  1. Plain swap:

If you would have some basic understanding how premium sales work you would realize that the possibility to swap a vehicle from TT A to TT B is against gaijin’s interest. Gaijin wants their players to buy 2 separate vehicles, plain simple.

A swap would allow players which have used the tank to grind the German TT now to use the same vehicle in the Swedish TT.

  1. Mix of asset swap and new Swedish tank:

As stated above - confusing as it is no real swap, the German version is not available for new players and any player with an IQ above body temperature would not exchange a rare German premium tank for a Swedish non-premium TT tank.

You might consider picking a side:

  1. Clean asset swap or
  2. New tank for Swedish Ground Tree

Regarding the rest of your OP:

…you might acknowledge that a suggestion has to follow a certain procedure - creating a discussion topic is pointless if you don’t get a pre-approval to publish a proper suggestion.

If i see stuff like this:

…it is obvious that you can’t distinguish between a Forum mod and a Sugg mod.

No offense, but nobody takes you seriously if you try to work with authority you don’t have (like deletion of posts or actively moderating).

Gaijin won’t give us this because of the value of the original Finnish KV-1, but I do believe this would be a great idea, however:

Add the Ger KV-1 to the tree as a premium (captured) and leave the original Fin KV-1 be in that TT

But, add the Fin KV-1 to the subtree as a TT vehicle so Sweden can finally have a TT Heavy

Owners of the original Fin KV-1 might get cranky, but in the end it wouldn’t hurt much of anything, and the original Fin KV-1 will only drop on value slightly

I think instead just give another KV-1E/B much better add something like Zis-5 or 1942 variants at 4.7, because Germany in 4.7 is just only the extremly expensive and rare Pakwagen.

First off thank you for the feedback its greatly appreciated-

Second for the part of me confusing moderator roles keep in mind i am new and am learning^^ I am trying to be constructive and get in the loops of the workings within the forum- and based on reading into some information on my end as a staff member i can say that yes some of the information i have was to a degree incorrect

i am responcible for moderation and keeping topics in line- however this is mainly in the suggestions and the comments on the posts there^^ but if i See anything i can contact fellow moderators for any needed help or flag comments

So i still believe the information is mostly correct^^

Again thank you for the feedback i will See on how to improve it later-

Np ^^

I’m glad to see someone making a suggestion for this addition, especially with Sweden being my favorite ingame TT

The only major issue with the suggestion is in the rarity of the Fin KV-1 already ingame, but I feel like that can and could be waved aside and left as a collector’s vehicle while letting Finland have what’s already its own

It worked fine with the Israeli TT too, with all the Merkavas and stuff that had been event subtree vehicles until the Israeli TT became a thing

I mean, i already made the suggestion for a new KW-1B 755(r). It would be similar, but with also german ammo.

German mains trying not to turn germany into the everything tree: impossible
Here’s my proposal, only german made or vehicles in the german military in there tree.

If you follow this “captured” logic Russia is gonna have the Strv122s, bradleys, cv90s, abrams, and the leo 2a6
America would have the bmp 1 2 and 3, t72a t72m, t90s, t90a, t80b, 2s1, 2s35m, leopard 2av, leopard 2K, the leopard a1 etc.

German captured KV-1E should go in the Swedish TT in an event, would be quite funny

Captured vehicles stop after WWII for a reason, and it’s also worth mentioning that most captured vehicles added are because they’re either to fill a gap or because they’re different enough to the original

Also, off the trial logic, America could get the 2AV, it’d just be pointless and devalue the original

Finland at least needs the KV-1 for the TT, Germany doesn’t exactly need it but could use it

*That doesn’t just apply to Russia, I’m just not gonna quote the whole thing

Hello- ive gone over and fixed it to what i thaught as reasonable and appropriate based on information given here from you and others

Thank you all for the feedback and lets keep finding possible solutions-

Maybe not adding a german KV-1E to the finnish/swedish TT that would perhaps just be petty-

Just replace the KV-1B with an actual German captured one instead of a Finnish one and then add a Finnish KV-1E to the Swedish Tech tree.

can we get a kv-1e in the actual ussr tree

There is already.

well if theres one in the game, then its really only a technicality
i cant research or see the kv-1e

Because its a rare teporare (yearly) premium.

i understand now
but we loop back to my original thing
if sweden gets a kv-1e, why cant we get an actual ussr kv-1e?
kinda feels like a gutpunch to play ussr for ussr tanks, but be prevented from getting certain ussr tanks because they are only in other countries trees

This while post is just an idea, yet people wants this addition, some doesn’t seems to view the whole problem a tech tree version of a Marketplace vehicle could bring to the economy of the Marketplace itself and the price of the vehicle in the Marketplace.

The KV-1E in the Soviet tech tree is a Premium vehicle available one time a year in a celebration event ‘Defender of the Fatherland’ and ‘Tanker’s day’.
