Thoughts on making top-tier SPAA immune to multipathing?

Against the Russians, you send two Su-30SMs to the airfield to rearm and save 12 tanks or yourself on the ground.

it definitely has its problems, i never really defended the type 03, only really used it as an example for the Kh38ML spam and then the second time as an example that i can in fact get it to work. Ive been playing Japan a lot recently and honestly, most of my deaths are to just tanks rushing down the TELs. From ARH SPAA platforms i prefer NASAMS as the amraam ER are probably my hands down favourite ARH missiles to use.
The radar on type 03 is pretty decent in refresh rate but the missile due to lack of TVC cant compensate for close range shots. That being said, one thing where they type 03 does actually do really well is that the missiles hold speed very well at longer ranges. But yea, Japan does need a better SPAA because while type03 was an improvement on tansamkai (which is just next to worthless) its still not as good as other systems.

The simplest way to settle this debate is to have everyone that voted no in a top tier SAM with only ARH missiles of their choosing and everyone that voted yes in Su30SM2s with kh38s

yeah, i love the type 03, but its has many problems with low flying targets, especially considering the 6m fuse making the little tilt of multiphathing a big problem, not to mention the absurd drag at low alt, it can almost cross half the air map at high alt, but low its 18km tops

Let’s do this: let’s see who is right, statistically and in reality. At the end of the dev server, we’ll see if there’s a change. If there is, I guarantee I’ll apologise and agree with you. If not, I don’t expect anything.

The fuses on the very fast missiles dont seem to work. ive made a bug report on it when BUK came out but it hasnt been seen yet, so not much i can do. From what it seems is that at high speed the missiles just go for direct impact rather than fuse within a radius.

At 2.8km on Mi28NM in MP the BUK fused underneath it when the missile wasnt fast enough.
So i think the fuses just dont work if the missile is going too fast for a delay (ingame it says distance based delay but i think its just time delay from gaijin) to kick in

i dont know if its really a “bug” per se, for comparison the buk has a 25m fuse, i dont know how gaijin calculates the trigger, but it looks like from the missile CM? its very strange

That will prove nothing besides fact that su30sm2 is op.

for what i know it shouldnt even fuse at this distance, considering it suppousedly has a 5 sec arming time(which is very stupid for wt gameplay), direct hits also look 100% kinetic spalling when i look at the hit analysis, its very very weird

Lol, the lamest thing i’ve seen someone do alone is fly a su30sm dump kh38MLs with gps and insta rearm, now i can shove my 2003 SAM system up my aaaah, bc the su30sm rearmed 6 times in a row, depleted all SPAA ammo and killed 6 people already

then arh missiles like aim-120 and r-77 would have to be lowered aswell

Haha no way that is going to happen what a terrible idea.

If they want to just remove multipathing, then sure. but not only for top tier SPAA that is a dumb idea.

you dont get it, those aim9xs were meant for the plane and got datalinked into the munitions

honestly have yet to get that issue with 9Xs, what range did you fire them at?

8 kilometers. How did you never had it happen its such common occurrence
