The SM having R-77-1’s is accurate though, its the basic Su-30 model that doesn’t
Now that’s pretty amazing, because they make it a point that you need 3 different sources
Along with this, Su-30SM entered production at the end of 2012. R-77 (baseline) entered service in 2002, with the R-77-1 finishing development around 2013, entering service during 2015.

I mean it works out, give it a dogshit pig of an FM so it gets to have a ridiculous radar and missile combo to fight jets that are some 20 years older than it, perfect, so you have half a su-35s at 14.0 rather than having to wait until the actual su-35s to get something resemblimg something useful
The F-18C with HMD is at least 2003. The 16C, 15C, and 15E, are all likely later.
The Rafale we have in game is from about 2019 iirc, and the Eurofighter is also from the mid 2010s iirc.
And it’ll likely be a lower BR than the Su-35S whenever that comes, despite having similar capabilities.
It’d be like swapping the F-4EJ Kai (Su-30SM) out for the F-14B (Su-35S), roughly the same kit, but most of the improvements come from the FM. And a BR increase to match.
Su-35 has a better kit. Better engines, possibly FM, radar, MAWS, IRST that works similar to Pirate (but inferior), more stores for R-37M
The 30MKI platform it’s based on was from 2002. What we have is the 2013-2014 domesticized version of it. It’s fighting an F-15E from 2010, EFT from 2011, Rafale from 2019

Yes…?- The Su-30SM is pretty much the beta version of the Su-35. Literally worse in every way. But still not bad.
Huh? They don’t even have the same manufacturer. Su-30SM is made by Irkut and Su-35S is made by KnAAPO.
It literally took Irkut an Su-30SM upgrade to integrate the avionics from the Su-35

China got J11B with, sure completely fantasy loadout but at least a capable CAS. Japan just sucks a bit and Gripen/J10 is just a bit short on loadout.
