I know, I’m an engineer working in finance, I studied programming languages and how statistics and AI work with random forest and R/Python languages during 7 years at Uni.
Thing is, AI beats anyone, anyone should trusts it blindly. It is the sad truth.
Did AI give me a wrong answer concerning the topic btw ? I don’t think so.
Thats what CS employees did too. The bank vanished from earth now …

If youre young enough to have written your masters with AI then theres an absolute 0% chance that youre in a position where a financial institution would allow you to put in millions into assets based on AI recommendation without oversight

I also use AI to add a hat onto my dog therefore I am an artist.
I’m a portfolio manager working in a UCITS compliant fund, I manage millions from different clients. Firm itself does it with billions, it’s nothing.
Goodness, If my portofolio manager would do this, he would get fired for it. Either he has the knowledge and knows what he is doing or he is just a useless bot.

They don’t know I use AI on a regular basis. I’m incompetent, forgot all about what I learnt at Uni during the 7 years I spent there, and completely depend on AI nowadays.
Makes the job done though.
How did this threat go from “MAW Equivalent for ground vehicles” to a discussion about AI.

If you ask one of the thousands of kenian datatypist that feed the AI systems, then you got a good chance that you will be listed as owner ;-)
Then youre either

or have the most oblivious bosses on earth, because if any major client found out that their money is being managed by ChatGPT they would tear you and the institution you work for a new asshole immediately

anyways, some* APS in game function practically the same as a MAWS. Not every vehicle had one irl so not every vehicle gets one. Its also primarily Hardkill APS that will perform more like a MAWS than a Softkill (as it actually deploys countermeasures, while Softkill in game are pretty much all just massive IR beams). I don’t think there’s any vehicle in game with the softkill APS that would deploy smokes when it detects a missile.
*and I think the vehicles in question that would have something similar (warning crew) are relatively new, and maybe even too classified.
Do you really think portfolio managers manage your funds in a particular, clever way ? lmao
They just put all your cash into market assets to perfectly replicate a particular index such as S&P 500 or NASDAQ (so they can’t be responsible if the market crash, because everybody would have done the same), then they add a little active management within the fund, so it is less worse than the market when the return is bad, and a little better when it is good.
