Idk why Russian teams are struggling to find people.
The MiG-29 9-13 is goated, I managed to spawn the Tu-95 both times I played Russia (tried to pull the B-52 for the US and failed 4 games albeit winning in comparison).
If anyone thinks Russia is seriously struggling, those people need a mental check like seriously.
If only they did random teams and gave you both rewards.
Likely because for people who haven’t unlocked Russian air they are stuck with the Mig-23 that only has 2 decent missiles and is extremely fiddly to play if you are not used to the quirks of the radar and manually controlling the wings.
Not to mention the people who don’t normally play air are probably not having a great time with the F-14s ARH spam.

AFAIK the MiG-23 MLD has MTI to make use of the R-24s, while the F-4E has AIM-7E2s which can still be outrolled and easily chaffed/notched. If you use floggers like an interceptor and not like a glorified fighter, you should have no real issues knowing the ranges and places of different SPAAs.

US aa is more advanced. Flarak does not have the high minimum range like osa and Gepard also shoots better than ZSU.
Russia has to field Su-27 and Su-33. No reason why they are blocked as US has F-14s and F-15A
and how many people that don’t typically play it know that you need to be under 1500m and pitched down to activate the MTI? I am talking about the ease of play for people that don’t normally play Russia or air in general, USA planes are simpler to use so likely are getting all the players that don’t normally play Russian air queuing for USA

If anything, I can even argue the US finally has technically a matchup where it can fight reliably against SARH slingers without the permanent SARH+IOG+DL+HMS combo that forces blufor jets permanently into defensive, the MiG-29 9-13 being the only reasonable menace.

Russian teams are lacking Russian mains, not better planes. That and the fact the B-52 is overwhelmingly more popular than the Tu-95.
