As we know the VEAK 40 was a pretty excelent SPAA when it had HE-VT but after its removal the VEAK 40 turned close to insufferable against aircraft

In-game, the Tridon or the Trika should serve as a Historically Solid replacement for the VEAK 40’s previous HE-VT setup, Since the VEAK never actually used proximity-fuze rounds. This would Fix the weak Spot left by the VEAK having its HE-VT removed. Downside is that it doesent feature a radar but instead a TV/Laser Targeting system. (Arte 725 system should ideally function similarly to tracking radar in-game)
TL:DR the Tridon takes over the 8.0–8.7 HE-VT role.
Excellent road mobility
+ Manual TV/Laser Targeting system.
+ L/70 40 mm APFSDS capability
+ L/70 40 mm HE-VT And 3P capability
+ 70 km/h Top Speed:
- No Radar
- Relatively Very large target
- Sub-optimal protection and exposed crew
This is a Need for sweden. With how sub-optimal its Protection against aircraft is
More details
The Tridon was a Swedish prototype SPAAG developed by Bofors in the 1990s, mounting the proven 40 mm L/70 gun on a fast Volvo 6x6 articulated chassis. Designed for mobile coastal and air defense after the Cold War, it combined high mobility, autonomous operation, and modern fire-control systems while using programmable 3P and proximity-fuze ammunition.
Four planned variants existed, ranging from basic optical targeting systems to advanced radar-equipped all-weather versions, allowing flexibility in BR and capability. Despite promising trials, the project was cancelled due to post-Cold War budget cuts, though its chassis concept later evolved into the Archer artillery system.
TriKA Fire-Control System
The final TriKA configuration used the Swedish coastal artillery’s unique Arte 725 (LVS 75M) TV/laser targeting system instead of conventional tracking radar. Targets were manually tracked through a TV/laser sight using a joystick and monitor, while a digital fire-control computer calculated and transferred aiming data directly to the gun system.
This likely allowed the gun to be remotely aimed and fired from inside the cab, though loading remained manual. The 40 mm mount itself was mostly standard and could still be operated locally, but lacked stabilization.
Originally developed for Swedish coastal artillery batteries as a radar alternative, the Arte 725 system should ideally function similarly to tracking radar in-game while maintaining historical accuracy for the TriKA’s final prototype configuration.
