Hello pilots and hello plane enjoyer, this is my first post here and what better way to talk about a plane and it’s variant that nobody plays except 1 ! Introducing
The Sud Aviation Vautour.
Now a bit of history, The Vautour is a french subsonic twin jet engine aircraft design by the " Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Sud-Ouest " (the national society of aeronautic construction of the south-west) or SNCASO for short introduced in 1956 and retired in 1979. It was designed under the order “Force de Frappe” so it was capable of carrying the nuclear bomb.
fun fact it was the first nuclear capable aircraft for France.

So with that said. There are three Vautour in the tech tree
Vautour IIN Late - BR 8.3
Loadout : Keyboard and Radar AA missiles
Vautour IIB - BR 9.0
Loadout : Various bombs
Vautour IIA - BR 9.0
Loadout : Various bombs and rockets
and 2 premiums.
(available on “Bastille day”) Vautour IIN - BR 9.0
Loadout : Various bombs, rockets and Keyboard AA missiles
(no longer available) Israelis Vautour IIA IDF/AF - BR 9.0
Loadout : Various bombs, rockets and IR AA missile
Do you see the problem here ?
For the one that have no clue, the most played Vautour is the IIN late, which gets radar missiles and sit at the low BR of 8.3
Meanwhile, the Bombers and the premium variant who only have bombs or MCLOS missile at best, are stuck at 9.0, they have slow acceleration, have poor maneouvrability, no rear gunners and sometime you can’t even bomb bases because attack aircraft gets to the base before you and don’t even get me started when they get uptiered at 10.0, they don’t have flares…
and the solution is simple, lower their BR put them at 8.3 like the IIN late, except the IDF/AF because it as IR missile but it’s pretty rare.
And if you think it’s unfair and that they are perfect here at 9.0, the IL28 is 8.0…
Anyway, last part was a bit out of spite, I doubt it will ever change but I made this post to share my point of view, i’m sure some of you agree with me. Thank you for reading my first post, RetroV out !
