The Type 98 Ke-Ni Production: Incremental Success

Sounds like we can get an easy premium and TT to generate coin for Gaijin!

I looked back into where I was told of the short 47.
I was informed that it was initially intended to have the short 47, but they went with the Type1 47 mm when the projected matured, as there was supposedly a revision in the armament requirements. This might hinge on the assumption that an ambiguous 47 mm armed light tank is the Ke-Ho, which might not be the case if I’m interpreting what I was told correctly. So there would be some grounds for doubt.

The gun does exist at the very least, though even if it was intended for Ke-Ho any point, it likely wasn’t mounted in it for testing. Tank gun testing didn’t usually occur mounted to a vehicle, so it may well have been tested and dropped before they even built the vehicle it was initially intended for. I’m not familiar with the chronology of either the tank or gun, so I can’t speak with much confidence on that.

So the Ke-Ho short 47 mm is a pretty dubious and can probably be disregarded for now, as much as I’d like it to be real :/
I’ll edit my post to avoid confusion.

I think replacing the gun makes more sense, as it’s already modelled as the late war variant.

Agreed. I’d rather just have the one Ha-Go we have be corrected to be useable instead of creating a separate version just for masochists and oblivious new players.

I don’t understand that thinking, why not both? Just folder the early production vehicle under the late production one and boom, problem solved.

It’s not like the early model is incorrect, in fact it might be better known just for its service in China and Manchuria in the late 1930s.

If they were to ever decompress and expand low ranks, then sure, add it. I don’t feel that strongly on this.
