Got the Freccia P-493… I can only pray no one else gets it. Worthless at its BR because it faces destroyers and its best weapon is a 40mm high explosive rock .

Oooo it gets proximity fused anti air shells! And 7m trigger radius, those are good!
It also has radar and can lock onto air targets 😄 That is a great little AA boat! Changing ammo types is instant, has 2x torpedoes. I like it. The guns do not have to reload, high rate of fire, that thing is great for taking out small coastal boats.
Proxy triggers early, damage is overall low so you still have to land it very close to target. Yes its good at killing other costals but you meet at most one or two per game at 4.7.
The torpedoes take the spot of one 40mm turret , aka even further reduced lethal potential against heavier ships / destroyers .
Only tactic that Somewhat works ( only in a third of all attempts) is to hide behind a rock or some other cover, wait for a destroyer to get close, shoot out all AA and guns on deck, and send both torpedoes , one front one rear.

Ahhh, yeah losing one of the turrets to torps is a big reduction in power. Didn’t notice that. Tough choice. And I see what you mean about destroyers, being at 4.7 BR. Might be a good one to keep in reserve IF there are a ton of coastal boats on enemy team. Sometimes I see none, sometimes it seems like half their team hah.
better that more people gets it so gaijin can get data for them to notice its too high in BR

I had the intention to use it to grind all the way to the P494 , however, when you take into account the poor matchmaker my P493 is in, and the absurd research cost of late tier costal ships ( 200k for a small boat with a few 20mm? Jesus Christ ) , i might just give up after maybe tier 3.
Last time there were boxes i got yet another ship (SGB Gray Goose or something like that) and im starting to think the P943 might join it in my list of “Low tier premiums i have no interest in”.

as long as you do not get a vehicle you not own - when you catch one - this is garbage.
other games do that. You don’t get useless ingame currency there

duplicates push the gambling chests from “bad odds” to the “outright scam” territory … having to spend several (up to tens of) millions just to get duplicate of something you already own (converted to 1M SL) is really laughable. With such incredibly low odds of getting vehicle there either shouldn’t be duplicates, or the compensation should be way higher than 1M.

I don’t think in 10 years of playing this game I have ever gotten ANYTHING of value in these crates, it’s crazy how 99% of items in this are just complete trash and the other 0.9% still being a net loss with only 0.1% containing something of value.

This is not true at all. I went through 310 boxes and got nothing but wagers, orders and SL and max SL I got was 100k.
And sadly Gaijin will never make these boxes any better, or remove the garbage from them that no one wants and still gets because they will give the excuse that they give away free vehicles through earning RP. It is for sure a scam and the only ones it benefits are the YouTubers and content creators that do get rare drops just to make others spend their coin.
I said it appears to be the case, I never said it was guaranteed.

Well 20 million SL later after attempting to roll the Soviet p-63a-10, the literal only thing I don’t have in the chest i got a grand total of zilch. i rolled an Insta-redeemed Bussard, a boat I have had since 2021, so all in all, I just have a pile of boosters to now burn through and backups. I dont know why i bother. They really should group all the vehicles into a single drop pool, with the is-7 seperate if they want to keep it rare, as i must have put 100 million sl into these crates in an attempt to get the two soviet air cobras in them over the years they have been doing this and still have zilch to show for it.
its just a shame, as for a collector this is simply a sl burn with a pile of 3 day to use boosters and more backup vehicle vouchers than i will ever use.
