as long as you do not get a vehicle you not own - when you catch one - this is garbage.
other games do that. You don’t get useless ingame currency there

duplicates push the gambling chests from “bad odds” to the “outright scam” territory … having to spend several (up to tens of) millions just to get duplicate of something you already own (converted to 1M SL) is really laughable. With such incredibly low odds of getting vehicle there either shouldn’t be duplicates, or the compensation should be way higher than 1M.

I don’t think in 10 years of playing this game I have ever gotten ANYTHING of value in these crates, it’s crazy how 99% of items in this are just complete trash and the other 0.9% still being a net loss with only 0.1% containing something of value.

This is not true at all. I went through 310 boxes and got nothing but wagers, orders and SL and max SL I got was 100k.
And sadly Gaijin will never make these boxes any better, or remove the garbage from them that no one wants and still gets because they will give the excuse that they give away free vehicles through earning RP. It is for sure a scam and the only ones it benefits are the YouTubers and content creators that do get rare drops just to make others spend their coin.
I said it appears to be the case, I never said it was guaranteed.

Well 20 million SL later after attempting to roll the Soviet p-63a-10, the literal only thing I don’t have in the chest i got a grand total of zilch. i rolled an Insta-redeemed Bussard, a boat I have had since 2021, so all in all, I just have a pile of boosters to now burn through and backups. I dont know why i bother. They really should group all the vehicles into a single drop pool, with the is-7 seperate if they want to keep it rare, as i must have put 100 million sl into these crates in an attempt to get the two soviet air cobras in them over the years they have been doing this and still have zilch to show for it.
its just a shame, as for a collector this is simply a sl burn with a pile of 3 day to use boosters and more backup vehicle vouchers than i will ever use.

No one forced you to use all those boosters all at once. Why would you do that? You have a month to buy the suitcases slowly over time, and go through any boosters you get.
I agree with a lot of people’s feelings that you should not be able to roll duplicates. It only disincentivizes older players, which they should be working to keep around.

I have suggested it every time it rolls around, but they don’t seem to care, it would be a massive quality of life thing, and wouldn’t affect the market either, so i am not sure why they don’t implement it, as it already exists for stuff like the decals and decorations in this very box.

Yeah, if they only changed the instant use drops, and kept the coupons the same (fully random) everything would be ok. Furthermore, a lot of the older players are trying to get vehicles that you can’t even get in the market, making it matter even less.
@Stona_WT I am seeing a lot of people (here and in other places/chat rooms) who are choosing not to participate in the box events anymore. Because they have almost everything, they are trying for only 1 or 2 vehicles that cannot even be purchased in the marketplace (like the Ka-Chi). Especially as the game gets more and more mature, more and more players are reaching this threshold. The instant use vehicle drops should be changed to NEVER give you a duplicate/one you already have. And I personally agree that 1 million SL for a duplicate is a very rude slap in the face.
Dangling an event once a year (per batch of vehicles) in front of your most loyal customers who have a near 0 chance to get something they don’t have is not a wise business decision. These players are not going to keep wasting their time and efforts on these box events. It is just the opposite, it leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth and will only have the effect of pushing them away and/or convince them to stop playing because they feel like they are being duped.
Conversely though, a change to never getting duplicates would create a massive amount of attention and game play from your most loyal player base. There are many players who joined 1, 2, 3+ years after the game started who never had a chance for some of these rare/non purchasable vehicles. You would see a massive increase in users online, and active matches during the box events with this change.
Please change the next box event to only drop vehicles from the instant use boxes that you have not obtained (coupon mechanic is fine, as you can sell something you already have). It will only benefit the company, and create a lot of good will within the community. Thank you.

Buying SL is very inefficient 😂 Much better to get Premium Time, and 1 or 2 premium vehicles (if you want to use 2 in one match, get a couple that are close in Battle Rating). Premium time can actually more than double your SL rewards (depending on how much and what type of activity you have in a match). And Premium Vehicles never expire and give you 2.0x the SL rewards forever (the yellow colored 2.0x at the bottom of the Premium info cards).
Prem Time + Prem Vehicle = Profit. I can make 25k, 50k, and sometimes even 100k+ every tank match around 10.0 br. So, in 10-20 games I can make 1 million SL. Get the Prem Time/Prem Vehicles, best way if you really want to get as much SL as possible.
Basically how i feel, i have a minute chance to get the two items i actually want in these boxes, and when i get something else with the same minuscule drop rate it just feels like being spat in the face.
I have always been on top of events so i literally have everything but the P-63A-10 and C-5, but due to the law of odds it is increasingly likely that i will never get them based on how the drop rate works, which is a shame, as you would have thought dropping 100 million sl over the last few years would have been enough to get something like that, seeing as its the same amount as paying for say the Israel air tech tree XD
