The T55E1 GMC is an absolute menace now

The T55E1 GMC used to have literally if not the worst turning radius of any wheeled vehicle in the entire game (trying to go around on small maps around buildings was like trying to make a 3-point turn/parallel park on your driver’s test). This was a huge annoying downside of playing it despite having great acceleration and top speed along with a quick 5-ace second reload for a really effective powerful U.S. 76mm gun at 4.3 BR.

But with the Dance of Dragons update, the developers have finally fixed the steering for this thing, which means now 4 wheels of the 8x8 Cook Interceptor can turn and pivot together and not just the front two wheels only like previously (they also fixed the visual unaligned chain for the wheel axle which is nice).

The new turning radius now because of it:

It’s still obviously like many open tops and light vehicles very easy to kill and disable with just MG fire or overpressure with HE but good lord if you just don’t get spotted, manage to shoot first and get to the early good map positions right away like the EBR, Breda or Pakwagen you can just snipe and easily penetrate and OHK unsuspecting tanks with not only a great gun but an amazing top speed and mobility to go with it too.

Personally after this fix now in overall maneuverability as well. I’m not quite sure if it will be staying at 4.3 BR as more and more players and T55E1 owners are now aware of this HUGE buff for this vehicle.

Thank you. Gaijin Entertainment for finally fixing the T55E1 GMC though. 👍

Machinery of War Discussion,

But to be honest, mostly wheeled vehicles should be mobile as T55E1 now it’s. I’m hopeful in some future Gaijin works on wheeled vehicles logic making them faster than tracked vehicles.
