Would certainyl help the likes of ariete, CR2s, leclercs and merkavas in hte hull department, as well as make the M1A2s etc at least not copies of the previous models armour values.

Thank you. Using the formula does result in this, but the formula is not accurate for simulating the m829a3 armour-piercing round. I think it should have a base penetration greater than the DM53, because its projectile velocity has dropped to 1550, yet the penetration only increases by 4mm. The increased bullet drop and reduced penetration would make it less effective than the M829A2 at long range.

Tank manufacturers don’t make tanks for the War Thunder metagame. So, don’t tell the developers your fantasies. Send them documents that back up your claims, otherwise, they’re just the fantasies of a disgruntled fan.

They are well aware that sepv3 has increased hull armour. They do not adjust the armour simply because they do not want the M1 tank to pose an enhanced threat to Russian tanks. Our protests have already achieved preliminary results. In this dev, they have already promised to volumetrically model the armour, and what we need to do is to increase discussion and attention, continuously pressuring them. As long as we stand united, they will inevitably yield to the pressure and make changes.

no improvement of armour at all, so right no its a significantly slower sep lmao, its tradition at this point, all america does is spend trillions of dollars to create worse versions of pre existing equipment

It is an improvement, but not as much as it should be according to their current implementation. As of now they are 150mm RHA plates. RHA has an armor modifier of 1.00x, so there is no way that these 150mm RHA plates should only offer ~90-100mm KE protection when looking at them flat on.
Unless my math skills have become washed beyond I initially thought of course, that is also still an option.
If they are going to make it weight so much with a useless turret cheek armor increase, I at least want that useless turret cheek armor increase to be the highest it can possibly be and realistic.
the latest m1a2sepv3 actually uses the same hull armour as the m1 produced in 1979，which is really foolish.they treat all of us like fools.
you have underestimated their hostility toward american tank，the 150mm RHA is even exaggerated.actually,its vertical thickness is only 90mm. You can check it in the dev server.

its still a downgrade from the sep v1 because its 4000kg heavier for a extremely minor turret improvement
