Top-tier development follows two completely different sets of rules: Russian vehicles get the benefit of the doubt based on paper specs, while NATO vehicles are nerfed by bureaucratic technicalities.
- The Armor Double Standard: Gaijin rejects dozens of official DoD reports regarding the M1A2C (SEPv3) hull upgrade, demanding “exact blueprints” that are classified. Meanwhile, Russian tanks like the T-90M and T-80BVM get maximum Relikt ERA protection based entirely on state-sponsored marketing and theoretical estimates.
- The Kh-38MT Paper Missile: The thermal-guided Kh-38MT on the Su-25SM3 never went past promotional brochures and trade-show mockups in real life. Yet, Gaijin implemented this “paper missile” with perfect physics and inflated tracking, making it the most oppressive CAS weapon in the game.
- Intentional NATO Nerfs: While the US Abrams gets an anti-ERA mechanic on its M829A3 shell, the upcoming Australian SEPv3 (UK tree) is intentionally gimped with the tungsten KE-W A2 shell. Gaijin uses “balance” to fragment NATO lineups while keeping Russia’s synergy (Su-25SM3 + Pantsir-S1 + T-90M) completely uncontested.
- Broken Damage Models: Russian ammo carousels routinely absorb spall without exploding, while NATO tanks suffer from massive internal spall generation, resulting in instant crew wipes from almost any hull penetration.
Conclusion: If a vehicle is Russian, it is assumed flawless until proven otherwise. If it is Western, it is left underperforming unless you leak a classified manual to prove it. This double standard kills competitive integrity.

Yeah I don’t see how it’s 12.3, I guess the best way to do it is drop it to 12.0 and up the b3 from 11.3 to 11.7, and bring the other arena t72b up from 11.0 to 11.3

Normal B3 is more than fine at 11.3 it’s an upgrade over the T-90A but it’s still far worse than any of the T-80U
11.7 to put it at the same BR as the T-80U and .3 above the normal B3 given that arena is not a very useful upgrade seems fine to me.

No? It has better protection than the t80u relatively equal forward speed, better sights and round, the literal only trade off is reverse and reload. I literally have the b3 and t 80u, the b3 is honestly better in my opinion, but they are more equal than either is better
I’ve seen BN deflect darts from well under 1000m of range, so it’s still pretty much the best APS in the game.

Yeah? And the side protection is significantly better, turret lacks the giant gap in era, they have very similar hp to weight ratios lol, and the round improvement but reload nerf surely makes it a side grade rather than a downgrade or upgrade?

The T-80U accelerates faster then the T-72B3 and due to it’s higher hp keeps speed much better
