He isn’t tho, you just disregarded everything we’ve said… as usual.
Good lord do your nonsensical complaints ever cease?
I believe he is saying that we are getting to the point where we are likely to see new competitors in less than 3 months from now (December patch). Possibly things like Su-35 and F-15EX where reworked MICAs would be necessary to cope with such threats.
Exactly.
Well, I personally dont think SU35 or F15 would be that much better against the rafale. SU35 would bring a slightly better radar (not very important, it’s already quite good on the su30), but missile kit would remain the same. Maybe it’d do a bit better in dogfights but I still dont see it competing against top 5 planes where I’d put rafale (weight buff).
Same goes for F15EX. AFAIK, its even heavier than the E (correct me if im wrong), with an overall worse FM. It does have a better radar which would be a very welcome upgrade, but it would only have a few more missiles than the F15E. And number of AIM120 dont make a plane that much greater, as seen on the F18C late.
You are becoming more and more unhinged. Seriously, I understand that the Rafale dominating top tier is annoying for most people, but there’s no need to be this personal. Fireball and DS aren’t the people deciding top tier balance, the devs are.
New competition to the aircraft that is atleast 1.0 BR steps too low as it stands would not require more buffs to the Rafale. It would simply mean it actually had competition for the first time since it was added to the game. It also still does not touch the fact that even with new airframes, all other aircrafts in-game would remain at significant disadvantages missile-wise unless all other missiles besides the MICA were fixed/buffed.
Its an absolutely ludicrous take. It stinks of DS’ constant cry posts about the Rafale needing pre-emptive buffs to “remain relevant” when the R-77-1 w/Su-30SM and then the 120C-5 were added, both of which barely put a dent in the Rafales dominance at top tier, and said dents were extremely short-lived as well.
rafale can still very easily be nerfed. still waiting for the ludicrous acceleration at higher speeds to fixed.
All it takes is an ARH seeker buff and rafale suddenly becomes not very good…
I like to call it a rework, its not a complete buff, but makes it more useable across most regimes.
I agree on the fact that this still won’t match the current Rafale, but it should be quite a jump in terms of platform, especially for the engines and some other useful electronic additions.
Not the thread to discuss the Su-35 tho, so I won’t derail with more details.
Given the 129 engines just got buffed, i expect the F-15EX would be pretty spicy.
I’ll believe it when I see it
Rafale will still be the only jet in-game with valid HOBS fox 3 capabilities, which leaves it as the single best jet in-game for all realistic combat ranges seen in-game unless something changes, so the seeker buff would need to be significant enough to make BVR actually viable, which I dont see happening anytime soon.
Much more likely to just see an F-15/16/18 with an AESA than jumping straight to an EX as well, in which case the only new thing they will bring is potential parity in radar performance. They’d still lose in effectively all other aspects.
You’re quite literally just sounding like a DS parrot at this point: “Rafale needs buffs now! There might be jets in the future that might compete with it a little, and that’s clearly unfair and unacceptable!”
Yes, su35s and f15ex would bring parity to the electronic equipments to the most modern airframes (MAW, AESA). Do they both have laser rangefinders as well ?
Wouldn’t it be worst FM wise compared to the F15E ? Overall, I expect it to be a lot better than the F15E just because of the better electronics, but I assumed it had a worse FM overall, a bit like j10b compared to j10a.
And I personally think that the only 2 things that could bring the competition to the level of the rafale would be a multipath reduction or the introduction of HOBs missiles.
Well… nobody actually reported how the C5 should have it.
With the changes DS is pushing. Its a massive buff in every theatre.
From 100G pull off the rails, to faster time to target and longer range.
(though half his reports sound made up to me)
Dont forget one of 2 nations have even have IR HOBS as well.
Well the seeker half angle should be 7.5 degrees rather than 15 degrees. The notch and chaff sensitivity could also be tuned.
Because the secondary sources werent good enough for Gaijin. Reports were attempted.
Not 100G, rather 100°/s.
For any missiles, claiming 100G is ludicrous (thinking of those claims on IRIS-T specifically)
They are all based on primary sources tho.
Fair enough, could have sworn I read 100G somewhere though.
I still dont beleive his assumptions and interpretations are 100% correct.
Actually, I wonder how many sources are being sat on that would result in nerfs.
