If it was only purchased armament the MiG-29N would use only R-73E, R-27R1 and AIM-9L. I wouldn’t know about the Su-30MKM entirely though.
So the unique avionics, midair refueling and longer lifespan engines don’t count, fair enough. But what should count is the N019ME radar these were fitted with, which makes it the only aircraft in game to use it, as well as domestic integration of LAU-7 missile rails for AIM-9 and P5 CTS.

Yeah GBUs will be niche, but the targeting pod and MAWS / LWS will be useful even in game.

It has always been a thing and it always was kind of problematic. It is getting worse with pretty much every update…
For high tier planes with IFF these additions are tolerable, but in tiers that require visual identification this is getting out of hand.
I don’t play Sim a lot myself, even though I love the gameplay. Having to rely on the ally identification feature in ground and on ally pings in air can be extremely annoying and usually puts the player facing mirror match-ups while using vehicles that are only available in one side at a disadvantage.

Yeah, it’s why I usually stick to brs over 10.7. Having to visually id is a pain the arse, much rather have the radar do that for me.

Mauswaffe these whiners are not 1 bit ready for the F-35 (currently 8 out of the 10 trees ingame will get one or 2 variants each) and China nearly had the door open for it with Singapore too, Korea was confirmed and that too will get one, sheesh can’t wait for a quadruple dose of whining

This is just false. There was no chinese player whining that he didnt get an abrams when it was added to the US tree. There was no Japanese main crying out thay they needed Soviet aircraft in their TT.
This game was better before gaijin gave every tree another trees top aircraft. Other than the F14, Yak141, J10, Rafale, and SU34, there is no unique top tier aircraft. Literally everything else is in more than one tree.

Yeah the SMT uses the same system iirc. It was even developed with the Malaysian order (but was offered as option before that on customer request, so I wouldn’t entirely say made for Malaysia).
They function the same, in game only the name changes.
All of these are things unique on the real aircraft, but won’t do anything aside from visuals in the game. Unless they start to add functioning cockpit avionics, midair refueling or engine wear.
There’s still the radar and weapons for gameplay relevant changes (even if the most unique weapon is missing)

My absolute favorite when they give Russian vehicles to other tech trees that get weapons that the Russian tree doesn’t even have (like the Kh-59’s) and I’m still bitter about the Tor. And just the trend of giving all the good Russian/American vehicles to any other tree that wasn’t good enough to develop their own equipment: Strela, Osa, F-18’s, Mig-29’s, F-16’s, Mig-21’s, Mig-23’s, etc. If an export qualifies as that nation having that vehicle, why don’t they just make all the trees the same so you just pick your favorite flag?
