Idk man, I’m looking forward to it. I loved playing the Italian mig-29 on blue side, I’m sure to enjoy flanker v flanker matchups in sim. Plus the Malaysian one is the lightest of the mki derived su-30s in game so that will be interesting
Sounds like a great thing if you play arcade. SIM should be like it used to be. Each side has their unique vehicles and plays to their strengths. Now its like arcade.
If you like that you can always play arcade in cockpit view withlut ruining it for the rest of us.

lol my main game mode is sim. I love plying blue side planes on red side and vice versa. It’s why I have 8 nations at top tier, I like the variety.
Sim is not DCS.

Two of the aircraft are specific unique variants that were also modified domestically, while the other is at least unique in game since no other techtree has received the variant yet.

Yes and no, it’s not in game yet, but it’s not exclusive to Malaysia since the CA-27 Mk.32 was also used by Australia and Indonesia.
Still I’d love to see it added

So if you have 8 nations, why do you need to play a jap line up to fly an SU 30? Just play Russia or China.
If you like flying soviet aircraft next to nato aircraft then i have good news for you! They have two gamemodes for that already. RB and AB. Go play them and let SIM players keep their gamemode like it used to be.

The Su-30MKM is a variant specifically developed for Malaysia, so is the MiG-29N. No other nation operates either of these variants.
Even if you count the Russian MKM prototype that would be missing Malaysian modification enabling the use of GBU-12.
The F/A-18D, it’s not unique to Malaysia in general, but Malaysia is the only nation to receive the variant in game.

ngl since MY subtree is below G8N it should be easy to fill in with some other planes like CL-41G, this Sabre, A-4PTM, Hawk 208, the current lineup is lackluster (of course no F-5E because thai tree already have it and even better too)

which also is in no way unique as features all that is ingame already. We dont count inside markings on malasyan.

lol, blue side and red side planes going in the other teams have always been a thing in sim. Just look at stuff like the American a6m2 or something. Having a flanker for blue side sometimes adds variety and creates more interesting matchups that wouldn’t happen otherwise
To be fair, I am quite happy about that addition, even if it is in a tree which I wouldn’t play to get a Hornet

This thread has turned into whine and complain about copypasta, I’m getting tired of people always finding whatever reason to complain, some of these guys might not even play Japan at all, just noticing this trend a lot lately where people just complain for the sake of it, so what if it is copypaste? Real life is just like that, God forbid the military industrial complex exports anything, if gaijin added nothing there would be complaints, they did and y’all just whine anyway, please and kindly zip it and move on and let the rest of us enjoy it.
