Why is the restriction only applied to new players? Old players can literally abuse the feature of creating certain symbols. We could probably be talking about the “Z” symbol here and I’ve seen it on Russian tanks on one of my last assault arcade matches. I think it’s kind of unnecessary to restrict it only to new players. Maybe we can just ban or remove the symbols that can possibly create them?

Gaijin doesn’t usually take away once something has been given or esp. paid for. Like players get to keep removed vehicles etc.

If this restriction would expand forward then symbols and inscriptions should be included as well like the 1941-1945 Hungarian Air Force roundel and the Panchito “The Fighting Cock”. Maybe we can just report the person using the numbers, inscriptions and roundels instead of removing everyone from using it for other reasons.

As far as the “Z” goes, who cares really it’s a symbol from Russia invading a country. Only time it will matter is if Russia wins or loses the war.

It ain’t over till it’s over. But I could care less about Z on a tank than seeing Swastika on German mains who do it on purpose to spread hatred. Then reporting it takes more work than it is.

I disagree. This (military historical themed) game is one of the very very few places where its valid to “spread the swastika”. Context matters. Free speech (should) matters. Barring someone from displaying the rot inside their heads does not make that rot go away or change their minds.

Invasions common still not ideal, swastikas plans go further than invasion. Big difference people don’t see, either way having a Z on a tank isn’t the same as a swastika in my opinion
Both represent racist nationalistic aggression. You’ve just been culturally programmed to view the swastika as taboo (when traditionally it was just a good luck symbol). The history on the Z hasn’t been written yet. But odds are likely that it will suffer the same fate.

Just because Ukraine was invaded doesn’t mean Russias racist sir. Regardless of your views of Ukraine one has proven history past an invasion another is just Russia representing support for an invasion. You can’t add something that hasn’t happened to their symbol “Z”

One of Putin’s stated war aims and Casus belli has been to “protect ethnic Russians”. That is literally racism that could be been borrowed from Mien Kampf.
And no sorry, Russia didn’t just “support an invasion” it very much did its own little Barbarossa. Just because the scale is different and didn’t include little things like annihilating a segment of the population doesn’t mean its not of the same motivation. Lots of people are still very dead.
