Scout drones in general are bugged, for some reason they are almost invincible against all weapons at times
The Rapier is way better, but it still doesn’t do enough damage on DIRECT hits.
Its semi armour piercing ability is not modelled correctly, it dosen’t actually penetrate anything at the current time making its direct hit damage extremely lackluster

its solid shot missile so suck to suck, the missile was design to directly penetrate aircraft which you guess it is difficult
im amazed it only took a month and not several years.
BTW still waiting two months for anything more than an accept on the extreme lack of armour on tortoise, I worked on this report with l2lan for a few weeks so I really hope something actually comes of it

things just stay broken on british things forever, cromwell with the RP3 has a borked gunsight which wont centre, try it its awful.
I want British things to appear in the USSR tree more often so that they actually get fixed so russians can overperform with it

Solid shot actually does a bit of damage when it hits stuff directly, the Rapier just tickles
I play enough low tier britain to be be used to zero spalling to know that this is pretty inaccurate.
the rapier system was in real life pretty good. Gaijin just gimped yet another British thing

I think they’ve fucked the fuse up, it dosen’t work like SAP ingame, it works like normal HE
the problem that they give it proximity like normal SAM in the first place
afaik the Rapier missile are design to directly penetrate aircraft and explose sending shrapnel outward
but gaijin butchered it
the thang only has around 600g of explosive mass which lets say you shoot an open top vehicle at like a 3m distance away cant even kill it so it would be useless against planes
they need to buff shrapnel more, they could shorten the proxi range a bit but a 43kg missile deal less damage than the he of a ww2 tank is just absurd
Oh please fuck off if they remove the proxy too it won’t even be able to get a hit. Have you seen how bad these missiles are at tracking a target? ANY maneuver is enough to completely throw it off targets and causes it to miss even with the proxy fuze.
It’s so inaccurate the missile won’t even achieve a direct hit.
lower the range to like 3m and increase the fragment damage and fragmentation another time because you cant kill with 500g of explosive explosive 4m away anyways
Gaijin cannot comprehend the fact that a country could produce a missile that can actually accurately guide itself past 3km
Bare in mind 5 deaths and only 2 of the kills (1 air 1 ground) were from pre patch and the air kill was a guy being nice after noticing I hit him with like 6 rapier missiles and crashing.
I would say its working pretty decently, I doubt we will ever get gaijin to do the 90% plus 1 hit kill rates claimed by the company, but still, works well for me for the most part. Oddly 2 planes seem to survive way more to it, alpha jets and su 25s.
If I wasnt trolling around pre patch with it, this thing would have a redic k/d for me lol.
