The Rafale needs better long range missiles

Well Rafale simply can’t be older than EFT because it only exists since France withdrew from the EFT joint project and commissioned their own

It’s not “pure fantasy”, it doesn’t work how you think it does. It just keeps remembering where the targets were, it doesn’t actually hold a lock beyond the gimbal limits.

What is the range performance increase of R-77M over the R-77-1?

Brotha what
Isn’t that, like, the best arh in game?

Too soon to have this information tbh, just speculation since they just appeared on Su-35’s a few months back.

Missile tho looks a bit longer than the R-77-1, so I guess the booster got a consistent increase.

Funnily enough, Dassault made the Rafale first fly before the EFT just to piss off the others

around 10% longer

and apparently it is used

There was also a picture of a sideview of the Su-35 where it’s clearly longer, can’t find that picture tho

you mean this one?

This one too yeah, but in the one I mean the jet is still on land, I’m looking for it.

found it

ofc the 77-1 is on the wing so it’s not exactly side-by-side

Officially? No numbers yet

But that wont give 0.1 Ton tnt equv damage on bases so no big incentive for enemies to just dump all their air to air loadout on bases? which i would very much approve because then the 50% of wallet warriors of players of the enemy team would consistently go into the furball without missiles. i like easy grinding. which would be easier then

the missile is a bit longer ron suggests 10% longer so add 10-12% onto total impulse and drop the drag but up the weight to like 200kg and then do the same for burnout. and then using ingame values you get the r77-1 with a max range of 115km and the r77M for 135km assuming the same battery life. this also doesnt include any 2 or 3 stage missiles where it gains energy later in flight rather than all of it at once

(its just a news article so take the range figure with a grain of salt)

and it has a dual-pulse motor which dosent make it as easy as you say

A pulsed rocket motor is typically defined as a multiple-pulse solid-fuel rocket motor. This design overcomes difficulties shutting down and reigniting solid propellant motors. The pulse rocket motor allows the motor to be burned in segments or pulses that burn until completion of that segment. The next segment can be ignited on command by either an onboard algorithm or in a pre-planned sequence. All of the segments are contained in a single rocket motor case, as opposed to staged rocket motors.

They’re probably just taking that info from Jane’s that put it at around 193 km

idk where they got it from so thats why i said to take it with a grain of salt

but it is still true that the dual pulse motor dosent makes it as easy as increasing the thrust and reducing the drag on the r-77-1

Here’s an article by Piotr butowski, a fairly reputable Russian analyst compared to garbage like yefim gordon.

States to be at least equivalent/better than the 120 c-7

I was going based on how it would preform ingame with all current ingame restrictions so yea it’s dual pulse motor wouldn’t have a effect for what I said cause it’s simply not incorporated
