on basis on known width, i pixel mapped and found out the distances, note there will be around ± 5 to ±10mm of innacuracy, you would have to round off some values while making the model.
measurements in milimeters.
( i just noticed, dimensions were given in format of inches already… )
The shape and thickness of the point on the taper is incredibly important for the overall performance of the fin. The real world fins are ultra sharp and cost quite a bit to manufacture which contradicts the silly western notion that they do this to cheap out on servo motors for the fins.
Here, by myself or others since the mods banned BBCRF for sharing a document that’s been on google as long as the mods have been alive.
There already exists AMRAAM aerodynamic simulation from DCS, but BBCRF’s sims were already posted right above…?.. and I just said I would share what he sends us…? So what are you asking?
That wont work well, as different simulations could give different values, not to mention quality of 3d model may also differ. Doing it under same simulation gives us accurate conparisions, even the the face value might be wrong, this could be used to compare in game values between amraam and r77 in term of ratios.
Oh damn, it would be more helpfull if we get drag coefficient / drag VS mach number graph
something i’m noticing is it’s simply the lattice itself and not the whole missile, and again, different sime, different results, can’t hurt to have different sims
