The Penetration on the Ostwind II is inaccurate

The Gun used on the Ostwind II has around 49mm penetration at 100m in warthunder, which is wrong. In real life it had around 70-80mm of flat pen at 100mm, this issue has actually been solved but only on the Flakpanzer 341 since it is a “rare” event vehicle and of course those are the only vehicles Gaijin buffs. Not only that, Both the Flakpanzer 341 and the Ostwind’s should actually have APCR (Pzgr. 40) which Gaijin also didnt even bother adding to the game.

If Warthunder is going to keep being “historical” they should atleast fix these simple mistakes.

I know that if they decide to actually do this then the Ostwind’s will become severely overpowered, since everyone can access them through the tech tree and germany being on of the most played nations in Warthunder. There isnt really a “good” way to make them less overpowered without decreasing penetration. My idea would be to maybe make it a premium tank or a new kind of way to make it less obtainable, like having to research the entire german tech tree to be able to unlock it, such as the Maus which can only be researched in November, or maybe having to get a high/specific K/D with a vehicle of Gaijins choice.

Either way Gaijin should figure things out because its gotta be fixed.

First of, yes they are different guns but this does not mean that they are entirely different.

The Ostwind utilizes the 3.7 cm Flakzwilling 44, which in warthunder has 49mm pen but in real life it had the same as the Flakpanzer 341.

The Gerät something cannons was an improved versions of the 3.7 cm Flakzwilling 44 cannon having better accuracy.

Your own source here cites 50mm pen at 100m

The Gerät 341 cannons also has a bit under 300m/s higher muzzle velocity than the production/service model 37s.

With the APCR the Flak 43 might have managed the ~80mm pen

Flak 43 with APCR manages way over 100mm of penetration accoeding to WW2 German testing.
