Oh crap. I thought I’d escaped from that leaving the Grammar…
Oh crap. I thought I’d escaped from that leaving the Grammar…
Better than being told russian MBTs are good, WHich is completely off topic from the SMSV anyway which is what I was here originally to talk about.
I just find it funny that he’s going “Well actually, it’s not a valid definition because it isn’t Oxford” when the MW dictionary is also valid xD He’s just upset someone called him out on how strong Russian tanks are compared to the rest of the game and it’s just players playing poorly. Dude barely breaks 1.0KD and thinks he’s the end all, be all on these tanks. Though it’s usually the same 2/3 guys going around every post going “well actually, Russia isn’t that strong” while also not being great players.
Anyway, back to the point of the post, I wonder if they’ll add the Patriot system or the SHORAD to be toward the same build that the SM-SV provides. Still trying to find a tactic that works against them that isn’t just ride the earth and pop up last second
It’s not a valid definition pretty much outside of the states mate is my point.
Not at all, I’m just tired of US players acting as if abrams are terrible.
“barely breaks a 1.0KD”, as if the average WT player is not substantially lower ?
This coming from a guy with more games in say a 2S38 or M1A1 All of which have had times when they were blatantly OP and destroyed BR brackets.
As well as having vast amounts of games at BR brackets like 5.7 which are nutorious for seal clubbing?
Please you’ve barely played any nations at the BRs you are acting like some authority on.
You ragged on the merkavas yet I’ve a near 2.0KD in my mark 4s? xD
the arietes are renowned as the worst MBTs for their BRs, yet I sport a 1.5+ KD in them¿
So what is your point .
If you had bother to read what I have said on this exact post, in fact directed at you at one point.
You would know fine well I am not saying Russia isn’t strong as they most certainly are.
If you’d actually bothered to do a modicum of research you would know fine well that before the addition of the SMSV, Lmurs, and BMPT the russian winrates were actually substantially lower than now.
You are actively choosing to ignore not only statistical data, but also proven data lol
The consistent “control” if you want to make it scientific in the Statistics of russian winrates literally is the MBTs they have not changed, in fact if anything they have been buffed, and win rates have not shot up.
however then enters the variables I.E the SVSM, LMURs and of course BMPT you can literally follow the data trail and see how each one of them has positively effected russian win rates whilst subsequently diminishing other nations.
But pop off lad.
The patriot system is completely different? it’s designed for extreme long ranges and at close ranges like we have in game would be near useless.
There is next to none as they can fire last I checked nearly 90 degrees upwards so even the james strat is ineffective VS the SMSV.
Mods will have hard time clearing this thread lol
Honestly, given the fact I’ve caught them making up rules and ignoring Gaijin Support to protect their buddies, I personally don’t care if we give most of them extra work. There’s still a few good ones though.
2nd that.
Now that you bring up statshaming, I have to ask, do you REALLY wanna go down this road? You said yourself you never played any other nation’s top tier MBTs and youre currently researching the top for US, which is the only nation you have around top tier…so why try to bring it down to this level? Everyone can play as bad or as good as he or she wants. That still doenst change the stats of millions of matches played in the replay system and it also doesnt change which tanks actually good players prefer to play at tournaments.
So, what is it, we start statchecking everyone now (for no reason)?? but careful, that includes you. Just say, no, that would be stupid and leads to nothing, and we can end that right here.
They were and still are absolutely some of the worst implemented tanks held together by the fact that Gaijin had to do something to avoid down tiering them, which is what caused the 5 second reload to be implemented. And even after that they have kept taking a sledge hammer to their knees.
If Gaijin would get around to implementing any of the fixes for the multitude of acknowledged reports I’d take an 8 second reload.
We’ve straight up got an M1 that’s entirely missing its composite armor array for example.
That’s what short range systems cover off, what we needs is something like the Sgt.Stout ( M-SHORAD Increment I), and either an overhaul of the Stinger(#1,#2,#3), or moving to the NGSRI; Quad Star
As what they do bring is the ordnance interception capability to the table (30mm HE-VT, M1211)
I have one MBT left for the US (SEP v2). Given the fact the only difference between the SEPs is the TUSK armor and MG placement on the top, I don’t think I particularly need the SEP v2 to know how that’s going to play out. And given the fact the Russian tanks are almost exactly the same but with better ERA while I’m already fighting tanks of that BR bracket, I fully expect that 4 tanks I have left for USSR will play similarly. The largest threat to Russian tanks imo is the SPIKE IIs (I swear they’re seeing through smoke. I’ll be behind smoke, reposition in both placement and direction and still getting smoked by them). I agree that stats aren’t everything but also don’t agree just given off the fact if a player isn’t doing great in general with either set of tanks, is that a valid opinion? It’s like the people over on Reddit atm trying to get the Zero pushed up EVEN MORE in the BR because they keep trying to turn fight it at low speeds in their American planes (though I do love the other half joking for them to keep doing it so they can fight jets with their zeroes). For example, the T-90A is at 11.0 even though it could very well be 11.7 imo. There’s logically zero reason as to why it’s doing so poorly when it’s fighting tanks that effectively have no armor protection against it so when does it become the player base just play poorly v the tank is bad? We can both agree a large majority of players in the game will YOLO rush into bad spots and get punished for it accordingly. The thing that the Russian tanks can’t do is reverse quickly out of it, which is what I’m putting down as why people think they’re so bad.
I mean… tournaments also play differently from what I’ve seen. Would you call the Ariete (which honestly surprised the hell out of me to see in a match) or VT-4 a competitive tank just because they use it? Realistically, it’s probably just what they’re more comfortable with as the Leopard 2A7 or Strv 122B+ would be better choices if going off what performs the best in game via statshark.
Honestly, just fixing the turret ring would help. We’re over two years of the variable thickness report being accepted and not implemented. I’d also like for APFSDS shatter to return as that was also promised to return years ago and we’re still lacking it but idk if that would create issues with IFVs as the armor isn’t enough to shatter those rounds IRL but could in game, depending on the calculations they run with.
Which Abrams is missing a composite array? I know all the Abrams are missing a giant chunk of metal that’s right in front of the trunnion that they refuse to model until we tell them exactly what the metal is.
The SHORAD would also be a nice way to introduce Javalins seeing how the TOW-2B got murdered by paper napkin math based off of imaginary numbers and the fact it has a 3D proxy bubble instead of a downward looking sensor. Would finally give the US a top-down attack that works/ a F&F. They could give Russia the NAG/Prospina missile but that would probably end up as a premium seeing how it’s on an Indian built NAMICA 2 (which is a modified BMP-2). I still think we should start adding truck based weapon systems because it would open up a lot for both ground and anti-air, especially with the infantry mode coming. Would be great of larger maps like for an EC game mode.
My good sir, that’s the entire front of the tank. Literally ONLY the cheeks are decent armor on the Abrams.
You know that that’s not going to happen in a milllion years. Think about all the premium SU-25 players suddenly getting killed by stingers.
We probably have to accept that russia is the only nation that is allowed to have a balanced experience.
Yeah, im confident that can be a thing. Mindless unaware yolo rush is more likely to work in russian tanks for players that are newer to the game than with a leopard 2a4 2a5 or 2a6. Still overall stats are overall stats. the usual normal distribution. So, what would you guess, if we would take just the top 20% or even 10% of players of the entire game at high tier, will Abrams and Leo2a7/Strv122 perform even better? Since they have a higher skill ceiling and better players perform even better in them than in russian ones? Hence why they prefer them in tournaments?
Depends Heavily on which lineups are allowed. And afaik that changes for each tournament and i still dont even know if theres some with 12.7 mbts allowed. If the max is at 11.7 then yes, they are competitive tanks there. 5 Second reload on dm53 slaps, no matter what platform it is on and whether its armor may be a bit worse. Maybe not THE best, but you can also play the centauro then…They sure had reasons to play those otherwise they wouldnt have went with it…For top tier, sure they probably wouldnt have picked an ariete. But with a cap at 11.7 i can see that somehow.
The XM-1(C), in game has spaced armor. Not Special (Composite). Even though the -2AV replacing theirs with mass simulators of those sent over to participate in trials caused a scandal since part of them was a ballistic comparison.
Also all the side skirts are wrong as well, by ~40-80mm vs KE due to a combination of miss-modeing thicknesses & understated RHAe values, considering know values put it at 350mm @ 25 degrees. This should basically prevent APDS and autocannon APFSDS too from being an issue CE is also under performing but harder to quantify due to the impact of standoff interactions.
And it’s not even useful against most GL-ATGMs at their BR either.
I mean, they probably would, as would any other tank. I’m just arguing the Russian tanks are far better than people 1) play them as and 2) give them credit for and 3) fight things they really shouldn’t be facing (now that could be debated about needing BR decompression or whatever else). And again, what they have and are comfortable with.
Ahh gotcha. I don’t really follow the tournaments or their rules so it’s def outside my area of expertise.
Oh? That’s a bit of a difference but I can see why that really went nowhere with it being a platform specific vehicle and puts it in line with the XM-1 GM for PC players (as that hull has a 300mm air gap).
hdym? anyways as i said before its offtopic, lets take this to pms.
Use thunderskill to see that, and it shows literally that the are better when used by the minority top level players.
thunderskill is way outdated no? is it possible to use similar filters with statshark?
