Anyways to rail back on topic. Gotta love the new youtube videos absolutely glazing this “new” tactic. Where CAS comes in from high altitude at a verticle angle most SPAAs radars can’t even properly see.
I think this Pantsir is the only SPAA in-game with a 90degree vertical angle search radar, so when people try these top down attacks in the very, very small blindspot, you end up seeing them, lock with IRST and they’re dead. Maybe against the average SPAA player this won’t work, but someone who actually pays attention, it’s a waste. I’m not saying this is OP, because this current tactic tehnically undermines all the other SPAA that can’t search completely vertical.
ARAT is M19 tile, there are also M32 ARAT II Tiles, that add on additional protection to the modular system.

No. M829A3 was designed to be able to deal with the Object 640’s Kactus tiles, which are similar to Relikt, in construction. -A4 was developed in response to the fact that the T80U / T90’s improved upon the underlying UFP array of the T-80B so needed to perform better to restore the effective Combat range for overmatch purposes.
The limited range of 20kms of the base missile added with its slower speed makes it pretty subpar in the current environment.
This missle allows the engagments of helicopters much faster (that are insuffrable from any nation) and allow for much quicker reaction time of fast moving aircraft in general. (everything only gets faster)
It definetly isn’t overkill, as that was the next upgrade over the base missile anyways, it wouldn’t matter what Pantsir variant.
At this point in the game it really isn’t hard to outrange the base 95ya6 and drain it of its energy. If the average CAS pilot isn’t braindead, I find it to be pretty underwhelming.
Well, removing the fast missle won’t change the fact most SPAA still can’t effectively engage fast low flying targets (multipath). If it was to be removed, there’d have to be compensation made somewhere.
Helicopters are insuffrable as usual and left unattended is an annoyance.
Nato is always gonna be fighting Nato so they gotta deal with their SAMS not being able to handle saturation attacks from their own planes.
It singlehandedly pushed red from a 60% winrate to 70% in ground sim.
While having a 2.19KD. (closest kd is 1.69).
Ground sim percently represents the balance between red and blue, with win rates shifting when there is anything significantly stronger on one side. (irist, Mi28, pantsir, bmpt). Its safe to say the SM-SV is unbalanced
Well as I said before, with the slower base missle of the Pantsir, it is a hit or miss on certain maps and spots helis tend to “abuse”, which leads to a war of attrition (The Pantsir S1 runs out of missles)
That generally is annoying, so being able to hit them quicker is a must, I understand the other side of it, but there’s basically 2 extremes fighting each other at this point.
Has anyone realized that the problems that players are talking about now are almost unacceptable to Gaijin? Let’s take a look at this April Fool’s Day event. If players finally find something fun, they will forcefully extend their playing time and buff the SAMs, making it difficult for players to have fun. Looking at the issue section at the same time, how many issues can you still see marked as ‘accepted’? Almost all of them are ‘not a bug’ or simply ignored! To be honest, they don’t care because they still can make money by this game. T-64/80 series charge size issue - Machinery of War Discussion / Ground Vehicle - War Thunder — official forum
They promised to reconsider the BR of BMPT, but what then? It is still 11.3. If you pay attention to the winning rate in recent years, you will find that Russia’s winning rate in GRB has been higher than other countries since 11.0 for years, balance? Their so-called balance is just letting Russia surpass all countries.
How long have naval players been waiting for last generation battleships? and then they make the never built Sovetsky Soyuz as the most powerful one,and what about the legendary “Yamato"? just suck with a large number of bugs that they completely deny, while arbitrarily making the ammunition depots of Sovetsky Soyuz unbelievably small according to their own ideas of the strongest battleship in their minds.
Now there is no need to expect Gaijin to care about balance at all. They can even say things like ‘because BUK’s performance did not meet expectations, it is the worst top ter air defense system’, and ignore that Russian top ter win rate is not inferior to other countries or even better at the same time. The ‘balance’ in their minds may only mean ‘Russia must have the best in all fields’ rather than’ making every country’s players can have fun '.
You make a good point, but I wouldn’t say Russia is top in Air Battles in the slightest, if we don’t look just at ground anyways. So I wouldn’t say they are the top in every aspect
