Gaijin knows that younger generations aren’t interested / don’t have the market cap of the current ones that play. Boomer power gamers with the income of 30-50 year olds have no problem shelling out for mediocre “collectible” 1’s and 0’s.
Until Gaijin can figure out how to sell skins with furry girls doing the griddy, tanks just don’t reel in the money with the younger generations.
It’s not always FOMO when the lock certain vehicles and tech behind an event, withholding spike from TT vehicles so they can put it on an event vehicle.
That only means you are being manipulated and conditioned to expect to be deprived unless you jump thru their hoops. Does not make it right or the only way to run the game, structurally or financially.
they simply chose this financial method, otherwise they were like DCS selling game packages, but if they chose this method it is because they evidently prefer this
Gaijins office in Hungary is a closet with no computers in it, the people bring their own laptops, so likely just a tax office
The Germany office is the PR/collaboration/youtuber office
The Cyprus office is also likely a tax office with 2 members of staff.
The Budapest office is a similar public facing office that does mostly translations and server side work
This leaves the vast majority of the devs and company managers who are Russian, live in Russia, and work in Russia. Anton himself is a Russian citizen, but is living outside the country right now. Gaijin is a Russian company, dont let the offices in other countries fool you.
“Gaijin Entertainment was founded in Russia in 2002 by Anton and Kirill Yudintsev, whose first big project was the PC racing game Adrenaline. After the successful launch of War Thunder in 2012, an office in Germany was established, to manage global operations and marketing. The company moved their distribution business from Moscow to Budapest around 2015, and their development headquarters followed shortly after. According to Hungarian tax records, Gaijin had 42 employees in Hungary by January 2022.”
Therefore,… it is russian company that avoided being Socially banned for retaliation of Russian Political/Military moves (1st Ukraine war, in Crimea 2014)
They closed Moscow office since 2015:
“Presently, all Gaijin online games are operated from Germany, Cyprus and Hungary, while the development is scattered across Europe. The company has now six offices in total: in Karlsruhe (Germany), Larnaca (Cyprus), Budapest (Hungary), Riga (Latvia), Dubai (UAE) and Yerevan (Armenia).”
I would be removed, yet, there is no political alignment,… simple information spreaded around the company and it’s past actions.
Nothing that is ruled out by current rules.
Maybe a bit borderline,… but since people here thinks the opposite, it is right to inform them of their mistake.
If anything, the thread itself will not be removed, and only my posts(and those of the uninformed people) would be removed
Btw,… you’re not stopping those 2 guys around us, currently challenging each others,… without adding anything to this thread either.
