The old “pandemic era” events need to come to a close

I’ve learned not to argue with fanatics. If you don’t recognize that Gaijin takes advantage of you, well…

Sorry you’ve walked in on this now hostile post about gaijin exploiting their users for money, is there anything I can do for you, lol.

Also, “this isn’t a charity” I know that, it’s a game, designed to have an income flow of money, but what you don’t get, is when that income flow stands up for something to change, there is 2 things that can happen, you can change/meet in the middle, or go bankrupt. I.e. a while back when we forced Econ changes. I’m just saying that, making something nearly impossible for the average human to make money is kinda, well, business, but also, exploitation. That’s like saying to a child with a mental issue “Hey, you can have whatever you want in the world with all A’s, or, you can just buy it from me”

This is a video game company, i get to play and have fun, they get to have a profit from me if i use money. Yet i’m not using money for these events, im just chilling.

Clearly majority of players are happy with these events, only a low % of players are on the forums complaining. They can see it from their internal statistics that it was okay to increase the event scoring. If less people started playing and making those vehicles, it would generate less revenue. They have people paid to know where the sweet spot is and i think they got it right. You have to note your bias as a player where you want things more easily and without a lack of effort. I think the effort here is good as it automatically creates an ecosystem.

i mean they are… so

Here’s another of the small percent ^
Oh wait, you can ask anyone what they think about this, and they’ll say the same thing, I think gaijin already makes plenty off of premium and premium vehicles, so in other words, these “limited time events” are more like “limited time for gaijin to make bukus of money”

I mean obviously? Players have a chance to get vehicles, gaijin has a chance to get profit. Fair game.

‘‘they want profit’’ Is not an argument.

That’s not my argument, my argument is the fact, they already get enough money from everything else, so instead of making the community give back to itself, give us once a year of you giving back to the people giving you money.

You indeed just want free vehicles. Heres the thing, gaijin makes profit, they give back this awesome ass game with no counterparts. You are not recognizing that fact. You think they give you nothing. You’re able to have fun playing the game. I have been playing this game since 2015, they have entertained me for 9 years. Is that ‘‘nothing’’ to you?

I’d rather have score govern the task than random asinine objectives I have to change my playstyle to achieve akin to the Battlepass challenges.

The score can be reduced certainly, but it’s not difficult to obtain especially events like this over a two-day period.

This is not battlepass this is winter extreme.

Yes, previously to grind challenges you had to do specific actions from my understanding. Now you have a simplistic system which is get ingame score.

I prefer the current system. The only issue is values, and this can be changed on a whim.

The system needs to be able to work like this:
Kids play the game, generate vehicles and get their own vehicles for free
Adults who don’t have time for this and dont want to stress on the game are able to pay for the vehicles. If you run the score lower, the ratio can get screwed up. Not enough people wanting to buy drives the profits lower for the people who grinded these vehicles to sell them. As a starting pay for me, 18 year old, i can get 16,5€ a hour. Only 2 hours of my job means i can get these vehicles. It sucks to be in situation where you cant either pay or play but gaijin can’t reasonably accomodiate every jobless person with no free time. It still caters to majority of players.

Yeah, it’s something, but there are some systems that take the fun out of the game, and make it too grindy, like the events, if you want something decent, gotta grind it, want a cool tech tree, gotta grind it, want an exclusive vehicle that’s availible for 20 days only, gotta grind it, want a premium, ope, gotta “grind it” in real life with a job. The entire game is grinding, I understand that at the eventual end, you can finally enjoy it, but the fact is, there will be no end. There has to be a razors edge gaijin has where it can make them money and give players what they want. I never asked for a free vehicle/premium/event, if I wanted that, I’d just grind it, but my point is, the grind right now is excessive.

Grind it so you can have fun playing it. And its not really grinding if youre having fun playing and progressing because of that like me. Sucks for you if you cant have fun.

I generally have to agree with simbadumba on this event issue.

Well, as it has been pointed out, “many people” is a vague term. Here in this forum, it is the same crowd of familiar names. They are not “many”. “Many people” would also rather have anything irl for free. And it is an observed fact that mostly the disgruntled are getting vocal on the net, while the more happy people do their thing.

You are not a hostage in this game. You are free to go. You are free to ignore the event. Nothing existential is exclusively available there. (the 4 star J9 is exclusive but not existential) I do ignore 2/3 of the event, I only do air and that is a breeze. And I am not buying the vehicles I miss, unless they have dumping prizes. (And then I would sell them later).

Sure, because a fair portion of the not so well situated player population can use this event to obtain permanent premium time. These events, while being sometimes feared by collectors and FOMOs, are a great way to support people who would/could never spend real money on the game. In a way, it removes everything from being behind a paywall.
Example: As a free player, you could basically upgrade the event “Newport News” for the premium “des Moins” vessel during this year. (Without gold and premium, that would require some other trade)

Events give everyone interested access to free premium time. Yes, 3$ per month is a steal anyway, but here is a way to get them. That is fine.

I would agree here. These events are now open to all players who are willing to put the time in. You can just do them by playing (a lot or optimized). You don’t need to jump through burning loops. You can be f2p and not too far/good in the game.

For people who want to have events which are more of a challenge, there is the battle pass, which can be run “forever”. You can knock yourself out there. And if you have no starting money for it, this event will get you started.

The current situation reminds me strongly of my fomo regarding the BP challenges. Thank God there are people here who bring you down to earth.
People are currently so afraid of missing out that they are missing out on the important things. Instead of questioning their own behaviour, they blame Gaijin for the problems or other players who have fewer problems.
Are the events time-consuming? Yes … Gaijin will certainly push it even further until they pass a point. Is that a good thing? That’s Gaijin’s problem that they have to keep an eye on themselves.

This is the second event I’ve tried to actively grind. Have been going for both the Vilkas and Mirage and I can’t say I’ve made a bigger mistake. The aviation bit is fine, but every time I play GRB for longer than 30 minutes I get a massive cluster headache from the bullshit I have to endure (may very well be a skill issue).

Definitely not doing this again.

They already gave unlimited access to backups which lets people play their favorite vehicle again
