My whole argument is that the positioning could’ve been changed so that shot wouldn’t have needed to be taken… While others went as far as to make it a “skill issue” discussion. Then he started getting ultra angry at me for it. When I was the nicest out of the bunch at first.
Me: Says composite is in the LFP and there are zones that reduce damage as a result
Me: Says fuel tanks reduce damage, although there’s a plate behind it, it isn’t enough to generate enough spall for the shot you took. Evidence being the clip you sent and the 3 clips I sent.
Me Also: Tells you full on side shots are far superior to anything frontal aspect vs the Abrams, T-90, T-80, etc anything that has frontal fuel tanks…

Answer is no. There’s composite on the frontal first 3rds of the side armor before you even reach the fuel tank. But idk where you’re getting any of this fuel tank composite from as I’ve never mentioned that, neither has anyone else that has said it was genuinely “a bad shot”… Shadow boxing at its finest.
funnily enough abrams is actually severely underperforming against that shot
due to the incorect modeling of the fuel cell armor
it should be ~25mms instead of ~10, and extend to cover all sides of the fuel tank, including the outside
so its missing at least ~35mm of RHA there with 25mm of that being very highly angled
Oh don’t worry I tried explaining that if the Abrams had realistic bulkhead armor he’d be hollering even more here. Which is WHY ITS A BAD SHOT TO SET UP FOR.
But again he has a massive ego bigger than himself, so in his mind it’s a personal attack to admit to reality that now 5 people have told him. His shot was “bad”.
