The upper glacis of the M1 (any variant) is immune to any APFSDS in the entire game, including an Object 292 at point blank range. The models that have received volumetric armour are also significantly better protected in the turret ring area to ricochets.

I believe they are still integrating gen 3 FLIR and the LWS. Originally it was slated for the SEPV4 but now that it was cancelled they’re planning on integrating it with the SEPV3s. No idea how far along they are with it tbh, there hasn’t been any updates beyond that it is planned.
It’s simply Russia lack skills, they drive around brainlessly and expect something more than just getting one shot from the front or the sides.

I think everyone flocked to the US one first, and it’s only the very good players and a few whales spading it right now (reminder it’s locked behind a 800k rep grind), USA 12.7s also all got the new round while the UK one uses the same KE-W2 as China’s M1A2T.
Anyhow, I’d give it some time for stats to stabilize a bit. It looks like a very strong vehicle, but I’m not buying a bit of extra pen and the turret ring armor makes for a stronger vehicle than a 2A7/122.
Its just the inflated player numbers. Two new Abrams in just one update attracts thousands of players. Stats always go up if a vehicle is new and getting spammed by the whole community. Was exactly the same with Leopard top of the line additions. Went up to 70% during first weeks.
Wait couple of weeks and it will normalize.
The only thing I don’t really get is that US gets two top MBTs with one patch, while others like Germany get nothing since a decade or something. We got a low tier rank 2 SPG yay.
I’ve been saying this. The first few weeks of stats shouldn’t be considered as definitive proof due to the horde of skilled players spading it. Once they lose interest and return to their normal nations and playstyle stats can be considered. I’m sure by the end of the year we’ll see the 2A8 and other kinds of vehicles for the rest of the trees (provided they have something that can be reasonably added).
