Old WT was simply different. Mind you, they shortly added the M1 up against these vehicles.

I stand corrected. Stats clearly have changed substantially over time. He said reload was 7 seconds but almost 10 is actually insane.

There was a billion different reloads back then, I was simply generalizing. MBT/KPz-70 were at one point running with a 10s reload

The MBT/Kpz-70 stomped so hard that they had to put in a matchmaking block to prevent Germany and US to play together at those BRs. A block that lasted quite a while.

The Kpz-70/MBT-70 fiasco was the worst balance at top-tier we’d seen at that point, both the T-64A and Chieftain Mk.10 got stomped so hard, Gaijin was forced to implement a ban from USA and Germany being on the same team, a ban that lasted well over a year.
The T-64A stood absolutely no chance, you could barely leave your spawn before the XYZ-70 Terminators were already swarmed all across the map.
Unfortunately that imbalance lasted a long while as Gaijin didn’t learn, and still hasn’t learned. They simply cannot introduce a new wave of top-end MBT’s without one or multiple of them being significantly worse than the other(s).

Yearoftheabrams already set me straight. Shared the stat cards for them on release and explained war thunder was a very different animal back then.
But yeah, sounds like they have a history of releasing very poorly balanced vehicles.
Seems like they have never learned how to properly test/balance vehicles prior to release. Which I think leads to a much more toxic forum environment.

2022 called, it wants it’s out-dated arguments back.
At least they now only do it on a yearly basis instead of every 3-6 months, so I guess there have been some improvements.

Uh i dont know about that one man. Rafale, Soyuz, release IRIS T, LDIRCM Helis, T58, Su-30MK2 AMV, Su-30MKK, BMPT, Pantsir SM SV.
Hornets sting and maybe the last update might be the only somewhat recent updates that didnt introduce something thats broken.

Pretty sure that’s just a Dev Server screenshot, as far as I can remember it was 7.1s once the patch was released.
