The NASAMS Should have been added instead of the SLAMRAAM

Warthunder gamer logic right here, who,s team do you think the British are gonna be on anyways?

Either of them, its pretty random

my point is even if it sucks that they dont get anything this patch, that dosnt mean the ones being added should be bad or that players cant complain about them not being good enough

Sure, thats fair. But I don’t see nearly as much whining from UK or Italian mains because there aren’t as many, so nations should be neglected because not as many people play them?

Those players not complaining has nothing to do with anyone else tho and its just 1 patch i can 100% guarantee that they are gonna get new AA next patch.

Also noone is saying these nations should be neglected in the first place?

I see more people complaining about vehicles from minor nations than others, such as this thread Harrier GR1 in need of a BR increase - Machinery of War Discussion / Aircraft - War Thunder — official forum
My issue is that this thread got a lot more traction than the people actually talking about the GR.1 moving down, as it is the worst of the 9.7 harriers

people complain about literally anything what dose this have to do with the SLAMRAAM tho? last time i checked im not complaining about what a minor nation has?

This thread is complaining about the SLAMRAAM. It seems good enough, especially compared to the other SPAAs being added. The issue is CAS, not the SL-AMRAAM

Yeah the counter to the cas issue is better SAMS, so i dont know what your point is here, and the SL-AMRAAM is like 8km worse in effectivness to the irst-slm and already in game pantisr all while giving off a radar warning while the others dont. same with the sypder, the worse part being Russia germany is already a common teamup so this update dose nothing to address the Red Side AA+CAS advantage at all.

I doubt it will make it to the live server like that.

I would imagine there would be a TRK warning from the radar unit. No launch warning, like the pantsir imo

devs already closed and the datamines show no indication of any changes to the aim120c-7 even if they did it would be more of a seeker change than a range increase

Nope its active radar once the missile is withing 16km it goes active and gives off a missile warning but since its only effective withing 12km you just get a missile warning instantly.

I was referring to the IRIS-T slingers, the radar unit would give off a TRK warning tempoarily until the IRIS-T is fired. As for the SL-AMRAAM, I could imagine the launch warning on the AIM-120 and then the missile indicator would be an issue, but we still have got to see how it performs on the live server before drawing conclusions

well yeah your gonna know the radar is there but no track warning its tws, not knowing a missile is launched is the important part. and we already know how the SL-AMRAAM is gonna preform thats what the dev server is for, we already see how bad the range is, in fact the 25km the devs gave it is not even possible on a stationary target at altitude, with any movement in any direction the effective range falls down to sub 10km and at that point your kinda usuless as a sam if the target needs to be that close.

Isn’t the entire turret system French rather than just the missiles?

true the missile is more a France/Germany thing, point still stands tho the system is still very connected to the US even if they dont use it themselves

Germany has no link to crotale and VT-1 more precisely

maybe you got it confused with Roland ?

Guess ill stick with ADATS for a bit longer, since it doesnt give any warnings

yeah you right

You can use AIM-9X in a somewhat similar manner at least. It’s still going to be slower (and you have less), but it’s fire and forget. Hope they do give the C-7s a smokeless motor as well still, wouldn’t be too much of a balance concern as it gives an RWR warning instead. I don’t think the SLAMRAAM will be that bad, but the ADATS will definitely still be better in some cases (not talking about its anti ground capabilities).

Well that was because the nations operated it
