As is it rn the SLAMRAAM dose nothing the fix the primary CAS problem the US has to deal with, and that is the KH38s being Shot at you form “Outside” of 12km. The missile will be slower than most jets at about 12km meaning your pretty much never gonna kill anything at that range, so your in the same situation as the adats where the planes can get a lock and fire before they are withing effective range of your missiles leaving you defenseless against CAS, this is all while your missile gives off a radar warning unlike the irst or pantsir btw.
The NASAMS with the AMRAAM-ER with its increased effective range would have been a way better option, and yes im aware the US pulled out of the program but they were still a major part of its development and nations have gotten vehicles from other countries for less. i know major nations don’t usually have vehicles from other nations in them, but its this or we jump all the way to the Patriot before the US gets any decent AA.
NASAM does not operate the way you think it does. And if it was added then it would have the aim 120 and the aim 9x (yes I know it can have the AMRAAM-ER). And if you want it to be mobile then the US will not get it. The only nation that has it as far as I know is Finland with the Sisu E13TP that carries the NASAMS 2 so Sweden will get it and not the US.

2 nations have gotten a vehicle from the same country before e.g the ITO in both France and Sweden are the same tank from the same country so the idea they can only add it for Sweden would be a double standard.
In fact if you use the ITO logic the devs gave France the ITO cause it uses French missiles so if you apply the same logic the US should qualify to get the system.
i used the ITO in this case cause unlike the osa that even tho its Russian, was exported to other countries and added that way, the ITO in both the French and Swedish trees are the Finish version.
Oh I think I get you, it’s a single nations SPAA added to multiple trees, like if the Australian Abrams was added to both USA and UK at the same time. Sorry I misunderstood what you where saying initially.
