The Dassault jibe was meant to be taken tongue in cheek as Rafale bug reports are always actioned and implemented (most of them) and they don’t seem to have much push back. Whereas Typhoon and Brimstone reports we get…
And that statement is not even close, buddy.
I believe there’s about 80+ reports in waiting for the Rafale as of now
Are any of them my Radar doesnt work?
No its things like cockpit is wrong shade or Rafale Spectre systems should have this marker etc.
None of the open bug reports for Rafale make the aircraft near unplayable
they seem to be approved and implemented faster and a higher percentage than many other aircraft
They have buffed the Rafale so its stronger than it is or ever was IRL especially in regard to the FM where probably due to Game limitations they’ve favoured overperformance rather underperformance. Except for litereally every other aircraft where game limitations prevent an accurate FM, they favour underperformance rather heavily. This can be seen msot clearly with the Tornados.
Given the Typhoon is still waiting for some rather basic things to be fixed, let alone big ones like getting a usable A2G weapon or radar. The Rafale seeming to get even more buffs this major update, like the MICA EM buffs and the Tpod buffs… is just… frustrating.
Though if MICA EM get a range buff, there is 0 excuse for the Typhoon to not get Aim-120C5s
The Rafale has the most open reports of any aircraft in-game. Before this dev server, the open reports stood at 90 open reports while EFT had 66 (These numbers are coming from official Gaijin staff). Most other aircrafts are significantly lower in the # of open reports. These are the two aircrafts that have the most open reports. Gaijin may simply be looking for aircrafts which have the highest # of open reports, rather than what aircrafts need it the most. And even with the current fixes so far, it is likely that the open reports still stand at 80+.
not just where it is a game limitation
F15C still has over 1 degree a second too low sustained turn
I think you’ve been forgetting that they have made several attempts to fix the radar and buff it. So it’s not like there hasn’t been efforts in that area.
Yeah, but it might be a game limitation that prevents them from adjusting that. Like the Tornados have WAAAY too much drag at the moment which impacts top speed
its not, they denied a bug report saying it was “close enough” even though there have been flight model fixes for well under 0.5 degree per a second inaccuracies
and how many of those are suggestions for features that arent even close to being modeled in game yet?
Aslo, the Rafale has 6? reports just for a specific thing missing from the HUD. For the Typhoon it was just a “incorrect HUD symbology report”
So that inflates the report count a LOT
Oh right yeah, they like doing that too. Typhoon has multiple of those
It’s also a case of Gaijin are actioning more Rafale reports lets put more in.
I would say a good portion, maybe half of it would be features that are not yet to be modeled in-game. But that just reiterates to developers that the Rafale has a lot of potential so to say. To be fair, some features like firing missiles* outside of its gimbal limits were not a thing in-game until this dev server, so there’s some desire there to see the features implemented on their part.
Right, and if that results in a higher report count which puts pressure on developers to “clear the stack of reports” then that’s just good bug-reporting no? Part of being a bug-reporter isn’t just to submit bug reports and have it be approved but also to do it in a way that increases their likelihood of being implemented.
Perhaps, but still. If we go by severity of reports and not just volume of reports then aircraft like the Typhoon should be at the top of the list. And as we have seen with other vehicles. Like the challenger 2, volume of reports does nothing.
THere is still 50-60 reports outstanding for the Challenger 2s armour alone. Not a single one has been fixed too date.
Air and ground dev teams are different and have different criterias and different priorities when it comes to bug reports.
Come on bro, I don’t want to get very personal, but everytime there’s a request to “Fix” Rafale, there are always a hate for Rafale for getting a better “Treatment”.
Yes, I understand Typhoon is severely underperforming, but guilty trippin on French Bug Reporter doesn’t really help the Typhoon will get any better fix tbh.
This thread again slowly drifitng away from reasoning to fix MICA range.
FIne, buff the MICA EM, the best ARH missile in the game by quite a margin.
But Aim-120C5s for the Typhoon will become required.
Just stupid that the Typhoon asks for Aim-120C5s and its “haha, looks at these guys, giant skill issue”
and the Rafale asks for MICA EM buffs that would put them onpar with the Aim-120C5 and its “100%, must be fixed, look how much the rafale is suffering, we have the most bug reports”
Obviously, if MICA-EM get buffed, then AIM-120C-5 also needed for Typhoon, I never against it, I also bumped the request for BOL nerf to be reverted, so I really don’t understand why so much against a historical bug report, it’s like if I against any bug report regarding historical fix for British Aircraft. And nice with your strawman, in fact, keeping with this kind of attack to French Bug Reporter definitely will bump Typhoon issues that never solved by Gaijin up to this day.
A few French mains are probably the reason why we’ve not gotten a single bug report fixed. They have been submitting fake reports that are just causing issues with the main reports. The record was one guy submitted about a dozen for a single area of the Typhoons FM that is still actually underperforming despite a bug report being submitted to buff it 6 months ago (still sat acknowledged)
