I’m a War Thunder player.
I’ve grinded three nations to top tier. I’ve studied, learned, endured.
But when I chose the Merkava, I didn’t choose a tank.
I chose a doctrine. A truth. A moral position.
Because the Merkava is not just another MBT.
It’s the product of a unique military philosophy:
Crew survivability, tactical efficiency, asymmetric warfare readiness.
It is, in reality, the most survivable, rationally designed MBT of our time.
Yet in War Thunder, every day, the Merkava is:
Turned into a paper box pierced by 400mm pen shells
Ignored in its actual strengths
Mocked and minimized — just so T‑72s, T‑80s and T‑90s can “stay competitive”
No. I’m done accepting it.
Because let’s be honest — and deep down, we all know it:
Russian tanks are inferior in real-world combat.
They have ammo racks around the crew, outdated optics, weak protection.
We’ve seen it in Ukraine. In Syria. Everywhere.
But in War Thunder?
They are digital gods. Buffed, blessed, untouchable —
not for balance, but for ideological comfort disguised as gameplay fairness.
I’m tired of watching the Merkava ridiculed.
Tired of players celebrating its death, not out of skill —
but because they can’t accept that a tank like this actually exists, and it’s not Russian.
That’s why I won’t give it up.
Every time I spawn in a Merkava,
I don’t play to win.
I fight to remind you:
that truth, discipline, and superior design can’t be patched out.
You can destroy my tank in-game.
But you can’t touch what it stands for.
The Merkava doesn’t die.
Your illusion does.
I will stay.
As long as it takes — until every shot I fire reminds the enemy:
some players still fight for what is real.
