The mechanism for bug reporting is not reasonable

Dear Forum Manager,

I believe that the game developers are genuinely interested in listening to player feedback, and I hope we can establish a productive channel for communication.

Currently, much of the performance data for modern vehicles like the VT-5 remains undisclosed. While I understand that seeking out and sharing classified information is prohibited, the bug reporting system requires “credible information” to substantiate any claims. This presents a significant dilemma for players: how can we gather the necessary evidence without violating the rules?

Information from magazines, academic papers, and third-party websites is often deemed unreliable. Even when numerous “unreliable” sources corroborate each other, and the data provided by players appears accurate, bug report managers frequently respond with “insufficient information” or “not a bug.”

This creates a frustrating impasse. All legitimately accessible information is considered untrustworthy, and further investigation risks violating legal restrictions.

Effectively, if the official sources haven’t released specific data on a particular tank or aircraft, any attempt to find it could be construed as illegal. Does this imply that game developers can simply design vehicles based on their own assumptions, without any basis in reality?

I don’t intend to criticize the developers. My aim is to highlight the inherent limitations of the current bug reporting system. With the continuous introduction of increasingly modern vehicles, I believe it’s time to re-evaluate and refine the process.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope that, together, we can make the game even better.

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Finally, a somewhat rational post.(Hopefully it might not be ds written)

Constructive comments.

Hello

Secondary sources are more than adequate and acceptable when they are of a reliable quality:

Authored works (secondary source): Reference books on collections of vehicles/aircraft/ships (‘coffee table books’), biographies, specialist books, “expert” opinion publications, industry magazines etc. At least two unrelated sources required.

Our reporting standards have been consistent for all vehicles since we introduced modern vehicles. More information can be found here: [Development] Reports concerning the protection of post-war combat vehicles - News - War Thunder
