The Mars 15 is ever so slightly over teard at 8,3 it gets a 90mm without a stab no thermals and a LRF and a apfsds with ok pen but in return it fights t72s it’s very much over teared
For instance at 7,7 in the Chinese tree you get the zts63 it gets LRF and apfsds at 7.7
And then at 8.0 the m41D gets thermal LRF and Apfsds AT 8.0 then you get the object 906 with a stab autoloader and 230mm pen aphe at 8.0 you see the pattern yet then at 8.0
, seden gets 2 great light tanks at 8.0 the Ikv 91 and the u-sh 405
The IKV gets a 400mm pen heatfs round and LRF the u-sh gets a automatic rocket launcher with heat that penetrates 300mm
Than the worst slap in the face Israel got the bardelas last update with a stab apfsds and a autoloader at 7.7
As for the amx 13 hot it ether gets a new br or gets its experimental apds
Do you want the MARS 15 to go down to a appropriate br

To simplify I’m asking you the community what you think
The MARS is fine where it is currently. The HOT does need to go down though. You get 6 missiles but most of your kills always come form the main gun so you’re basically playing a 6.7 (I refuse to accept the BR raise) tank but you get 6 useless missiles and get moved up 5 BR brackets.
What led to such a statement? An ATGM? There’s another AMX-13 at BR 7.0 with ATGMs, albeit first-generation, but it allows you to fire at the enemy directly in front of you. Whereas with the AMX-13 HOT, the ATGM aligns with the line of fire and becomes controllable (and poorly controllable at that) ONLY at ±400 meters from the tank, all against the backdrop of a sight with terrible zoom. The very presence of ATGMs, like its premium counterpart, is offset by an increased weight of half a ton and the consequently worsened acceleration. Therefore, there is no reason to place it at a higher BR.
I would even say that even the regular AMX-13 has its BR overtiered by 1-2 steps, but… unfortunately, Gaijin has their own vision that differs from common sense.
But the HOT atgms are much better than the SS-11 and are also mouse guided. Making them actually usable at longer ranges. I do agree they are heavily situational and most kills are still using the 75mm main gun.
Completely agreed. It should go back down to 6.7 with the EBR. I just hate how because the AMX M4 is so good it got moved up that means the whole 6.7 lineup had to go up
But firing ATGMs is not the same as firing large unguided rockets (NARs) with their terribly unreadable ballistics.
That’s the point, the HOT missiles on the AMX-13 are worse than the SS-11s. It’s impossible to fire HOTs at close range, that’s a fact. And you might think, just fire them at long range and you’ll be happy, but… you can’t really fire them at long range either, because you get a combination of a terrible sight and awful HOT controls due to their horrible inertia. Also, the difference in mouse aiming convenience is questionable when the HOTs aren’t controllable at ALL for the first 400-500 meters, while the SS-11s get on the aiming line from the first meters of flight. Plus, you won’t launch either of them while moving anyway.
Сontrolling first-generation ATGMs is more a matter of habit. It’s not as horrible as people make it out to be. And the AMX-13 HOT is an example of when it’s better to have a first-generation ATGM than THAT.
Well in any case I believe that having an ATGM that can theoretically kill armoured targets you have no chance of killing with your main gun warants a slight BR increase
With the upgraded version’s mobility getting even worse (and it wasn’t great to begin with!), plus the standard tank’s definitely inflated BR? No, I don’t think so.
You’re overstating the mobilty decrease. In any situation the tank with additional atgms with 700mm of pen should have at least a one BR step up from the base model.
Also I would like your opinion on the Raketenjagdpanzers being 8.0 and 8.3 respectively.
I don’t know their base as well as the AMX-13, but I’m pretty sure it’s two pieces of 💩. However, I can’t help but note that each of those ATGM carriers has an advantage over the HOT: the ability to fire at enemies directly in front of them.
I’m a France main after all, not Germany. So, unlike in the French tree, I’m not going to max out every vehicle* in the German tree.
*All vehicle except: the AMX-13 HOT – I’m not touching it. Also, I’m skipping the American copy-paste tanks (I don’t wanna have to grind the same vehicle twice or more on different tech trees). And I’m also skipping the SAMs; the grind is just too long since there aren’t enough planes in matches to level them up quickly.
That is one advantage. But the AMX-13 also has an advantage over those 2 simply due to the fact that it has an actual gun. Also if you use a custom sight you can fire directly in front. I had quite a few 50m or less atgm kills after installing that sight.
It’s honestly not that bad. I myself decided to draw the line at the CV9035NL. That thing is just not fun to play at all.
How? I liked the VBCI more. The bushmaster on the 9035 does no damage and also has shit firerate, the mobility is not great and it’s overall just underwhelming.
VBCI is fun, but not effective, while the CV9035… I’ve nuked the heck out of maps with that thing.
But, I won’t argue, it’s a very skill-intensive vehicle. You need to know the random elements really well (positions, common routes, enemy armor - who to shoot in the side, who you can pen frontally) at this BR. But I’ll absolutely disagree about the damage – for an autocannon with that rate of fire, it’s more than acceptable. Getting kills with the CV9035 is much easier and more satisfying than with the VBCI.
Yeah somehow I had the exact opposite experience. Way more effective in the VBCI (except when I immediately got killed by someone else on the same flank) I don’t think I have had any decemt battles i the 9035
