The M1A2 AIM should be added to the British tech tree

“Hull” lower hull, everything else was changed due to UK/CAN design requirements. “Running gear” BT-7 and A.13 use Chrisitie suspension but that doesn’t make them American

the cristie suspension we used was copied off of the soviets own take on it btw, its american ancestry was quite distant by then

No, its armor is not Chobham. That was for the initial XM1 prototypes but replaced by domestic armor.

and where does this “domestic” armour derive from?

you guessed it, its just chobham

Christie suspension is an American system.

No, it’s a different system.

Doesn’t make these tanks anymore American and a Caern pointed out, the world used the improved soviet copy

The tank is an american concept therefore all tanks should go to britain aah argument

He’s arguing the Abrams armor is British because the US looked at Chobham but the Christie suspension isn’t American despite being American.

He will make whatever argument he heeds to make to add any and all vehicle to the UK tree, while denying the US any foreign variants.

British concept*

But thanks for giving us credit. We did invent the caterpillar track, after all.

im mocking your arguments with equally stupid ones.

your argument is the pinnacle of buffoonery as far as vehicle additions go

“Denying US foreign vehicles”

We cannot help that in this game 9/9 Tech trees have US content due to how much the US exports vehicles to other nations and how the US will do ANYTHING (Bribes and all) to make sure other nations use their equipment.

You will be hard pressed to find nations that can slot into the US (that already are not in game) when their export vehicles have a direct counterpart already within the US tree or will add nothing to the US tree.

Does the UK not field the Challenger 2? Is that not a direct counterpart to the M1A2?

In game? No. IRL? No

Association with the vehicle was basis for adding vehicles for years. That isn’t my argument.

So because the Challenger 2 is garbage, the UK just gets to cherry pick other vehicles?

Not what I said, but you do you

Oh i know the abrams is a solid tank but the majority of players that play them are as useful as a wet paper towel, it’s one of the reasons i can’t bring myself to finish off the US tree i can’t put myself through that pain it feels like literal ball torture.

How is the Challenger 2 not a counterpart to the M1A2?

The Abrams is considerably better than the Challenger 2 in the sense that the Abrams skill ceiling is much much higher.

However, before some of the British mains will run away with this, the skill floor of both vehicles is pretty similar. So if you don’t perform well in a Challenger 2 you won’t magically perform better when playing an Abrams.
