On June 5th 1967, the Six-Day War began, where Israeli M-51 Sherman tanks were used for the first time in combat. 15 years later on June 6th 1982, the Lebanon War started, where Merkava tanks were used for the first time, proving themselves against Syrian T-72s.

The M-51 (W) tank utilizes an M4A3 chassis, providing improved frontal protection compared to an M4A1. Its armament consists of a French 105 mm gun, notable for firing a HEAT that has impressive penetration capability of up to 400 mm. Additionally, this tank is equipped with a 12.7 mm machine gun, upgraded from a 7.62 mm.
The Merkava Mk.2D is the newest variant of the Merkava Mk.2, boasting turret protection on par with the Mk.4. Armed with a 105 mm Sharir cannon, it includes a two-plane stabilizer and a laser rangefinder that automatically adjusts for distance, proving highly effective at long ranges. This tank is equipped with composite armor screens, smoke grenades, engine smoke, and a front-mounted engine that helps absorb incoming fire.
“Merkava Mk.2, boasting turret protection on par with the Mk.4”
Its perfectly reasonable that mk2d has turret armor on par with the most advanced version of the merkava. There are definitely no inaccuracies when it comes to the mk4 armor, weight etc. Youre literally mocking the mk4 and the fact that its not modeled correctly
Actually, the added armor of the Merkava 2D and 3D is somewhat inferior to that of the Merkava 4, since those armors are the designs created for the Merkava 4 prototype.
The main problem with the Merkava 2D is something that often happens to Gaijin in some tanks: the stupid habit of not giving them the correct ammunition. The Merkava 2D has the best ammunition, the M413, which is from 1985, when it should have the M426 ammunition from 1990, like the Magach 7C and the Gal Batash, which predate the Merkava 2D.Or even the M428 which is from 2003.
Can you finally give the Merkava Mk.2D M426 to help it better compete at its higher BR? It’s only slightly more pen and angled one, hardly an improvement I’ve the current round but it’s still an improvement and much more helpful than the addon armor is when it comes to the reasoning for its higher BR.
SPAAs are the most important vehicle to have in your line up WYM, seperate spawn point pool, and being able to counter the horde of air threats will allow you to turn games around and win them.
@Stona_WT
I dont think this is even relatively close or even correct man
the devs did terrible job modeling the merkavas line so now the mk.2 has the same protection as mk.4?
