The M-51 (W) and Merkava Mk.2D Return On the Anniversary of Them Entering Combat!

On June 5th 1967, the Six-Day War began, where Israeli M-51 Sherman tanks were used for the first time in combat. 15 years later on June 6th 1982, the Lebanon War started, where Merkava tanks were used for the first time, proving themselves against Syrian T-72s.

The M-51 (W) and Merkava Mk.2D are available for Golden Eagles and are back for good!

The M-51 (W) (rank IV) is available for 4880 Golden Eagles, and the Merkava Mk.2D (rank VI) is available for 8910 Golden Eagles! They are now back for good and will not be disappearing from purchase.

That’s not all, as until June 9th (11:00 GMT), both of these tanks have a 30% discount, allowing you purchase them for 3416 and 6237 Golden Eagles respectively!

When: From June 4th (11:00 GMT).

Where: Israel > Army > Premium vehicles.

  • The M-51 (W) tank utilizes an M4A3 chassis, providing improved frontal protection compared to an M4A1. Its armament consists of a French 105 mm gun, notable for firing a HEAT that has impressive penetration capability of up to 400 mm. Additionally, this tank is equipped with a 12.7 mm machine gun, upgraded from a 7.62 mm.

  • The Merkava Mk.2D is the newest variant of the Merkava Mk.2, boasting turret protection on par with the Mk.4. Armed with a 105 mm Sharir cannon, it includes a two-plane stabilizer and a laser rangefinder that automatically adjusts for distance, proving highly effective at long ranges. This tank is equipped with composite armor screens, smoke grenades, engine smoke, and a front-mounted engine that helps absorb incoming fire.

I really like the idea of bring back removed vehicles. I really miss Jagdpanzer IV/70 Alkett, i hope he return soon.

They are fine but not “immediately buy when 30% down” fine

Still Israel needed mid tier premium options, their return is appreciated

Can we get the ground BR of the Kfir Cannard put to 10.0 so I can have a line up.

The Kfir only has dumb bombs and 2 aim 9Gs, far less then some of the other planes with BRs at 10.0 and lower.

it would be nice if the merkava 2d could be moved up a rank since the other 10.0 tanks are at rank 7 except the merkava

“Merkava Mk.2, boasting turret protection on par with the Mk.4”
Its perfectly reasonable that mk2d has turret armor on par with the most advanced version of the merkava. There are definitely no inaccuracies when it comes to the mk4 armor, weight etc. Youre literally mocking the mk4 and the fact that its not modeled correctly

kinda confused why an M51 would be paywalled when Israel NEEDS anything it can get that isnt another M48 or M60 copypaste.

Isreal already get 3 M-51 spawns as it is a reserve tank, have you looked at the Isrealy tree.

Actually, the added armor of the Merkava 2D and 3D is somewhat inferior to that of the Merkava 4, since those armors are the designs created for the Merkava 4 prototype.
The main problem with the Merkava 2D is something that often happens to Gaijin in some tanks: the stupid habit of not giving them the correct ammunition. The Merkava 2D has the best ammunition, the M413, which is from 1985, when it should have the M426 ammunition from 1990, like the Magach 7C and the Gal Batash, which predate the Merkava 2D.Or even the M428 which is from 2003.

it wouldnt have neesed that if you got a second one

Can you finally give the Merkava Mk.2D M426 to help it better compete at its higher BR? It’s only slightly more pen and angled one, hardly an improvement I’ve the current round but it’s still an improvement and much more helpful than the addon armor is when it comes to the reasoning for its higher BR.

Still not sure what you are saying, what Isreal need at 6.0 is a decent SPAA, and some decent strike planes, and muiltrole fighter.

ATM you have to use a 4.3 SPAA and the Spitfire mk9.

A tank needs a lineup of other tanks, its only got an M109 SPG with it, this other super sherman is needed to assist it. SPAA and cas be damned

True, that round is already present on the 9.3 with the Gal Batash and the Magach 7C.
Same applies for the Merkava 1’s Br 9.7 and stil using M413.

SPAAs are the most important vehicle to have in your line up WYM, seperate spawn point pool, and being able to counter the horde of air threats will allow you to turn games around and win them.

an SPAA doesnt matter if you have no tank

@Stona_WT
I dont think this is even relatively close or even correct man
the devs did terrible job modeling the merkavas line so now the mk.2 has the same protection as mk.4?
