The Leclerc series and how detailed modules nuke lightly-hull-armored MBTs

I wouldn't mind if even the FCS module stayed only within the turret, but the part on the hull is completely overkill, and you can take my word: it will nuke its performance and usage significantly.

This module update will nuke the Leclerc series usage, while we still wait for some sort of turret basket module equivalent on the T-series MBTs.

Another case of shadowbuffing russian stuff so they remain better compared to NATO.

They don’t even hide it anymore this time

This is not for the sake of buffing Russia. It’s to encourage less people to play France and move to other trees that Gaijin can fleece them with premiums.

While there’s still no sort of basket for them, that is completely vague and open for discussion.

At this rate, most of nations already got their electronics/FCS/baskets and aiming drives where appliable. Russia has not received a fully detailed horizontal drive, and if you believe a single ring will cover the entire turret while lighter vehicles get redundant floors and rings, then it’s not on us.

Maybe.

But again, why russian MBTs still don’t have a turret basket ? Why are they gonna be the last ones (except Arietes I think) getting it, someday (probably in 5 years) ?

I just wish they fixed the armor in the same way they implement these features.

The new modules wouldn’t be a problem… if the armor worked like its supposed to. Instead, present day MBT has 200mm KE center of mass (UFP) for no particular reason.

Same goes for the Abrams’ turret ring, etc.

A tale as old as time.
They shouldn’t be modelling new internal modules without at least a respective volumetric overhaul of the vehicle, this is just a nerf disguised as realism, whereas vehicles completely lack enough detailed horizontal drives.

Lmao, That looks worse than what other tank got lol

They never tried to hide it
