I doubt that will happen, there is no way Britain developed a round with better performance that 3BM60 or OFL 120 F1 starting with a subpar cannon and ammo design (2 parts ammo)
For comparison, DM63 has around 720mm when fired from the L/44 and that’s one of the best penetrators currently in existence.
While I don’t disagree with this topic in general you are vastly undererstimating autoloaders.
The Leopards and Abrams can only achieve 6 seconds with an ace crew (some 900< battles usually without spending GE) while max lvl expert is 6.7 and every hit that harms your crew makes it worse.
The Leclerc’s autoloader is marginally better than the BVM’s and is 2 seconds slower than the Japanese tanks.
Autoloading is best when there’s multiple tanks in an engagement. In a pitched battle it’s mostly irrelevant as you’re pulling in and out of cover based on your reload with the enemy not able to engage you while your reload finishes.
Ah yes, intending to correct the stats of an MBT (which is worse than it’s counterparts in many ways) to make it better is a skill issue. That makes sense
What do you mean BVM, 122 and B3 round all have wonderful spalling, you don’t really need insane penetration but rather than that you need good spalling.
Spalling is a relation of penetration & armor thickness & type to my knowledge, at least in-game. IRL there are more materials differences than what WT can simulate.
I still don’t get why you don’t use the stats from the stat card, it would be easier for everyone but I think I see where you get your numbers from.
Anyway, the BVM has roughly the same pen but access to an ATGM so I don’t think the APFSDS is really a problem for it.
The one of the 122 is just plain better. 14mm isn’t much yes but it’s still better in every way. Also the tank has much more armour.
I literally use stats from the statcard. I just convert them into more useful units since everyone uses “LOS” penetration & prefers that.
No one talks about plate thickness.
And yeah, Strv 122 didn’t suffer from lack of armor information causing no-armor issues that we’re still waiting on for Leclerc.
Yes but multiplied by 2 or so. Don’t know what LOS means, maybe it doesn’t help but I thought people would mostly use the base value of the stat card, my bad.
Yeah, I know, that’s why I said, “it’s a fairly new and classified vehicle, so they can’t have a lot of info on it to make it stand up to its actual power” essentially as well, which I agree with, it’s top of the line, maybe better than the M1A2 some may say, but it’s not up to proper standards in the game.
The STRV-122 is hands down the best MBT in the game. I reckon the Leclerc wouldn’t so far when it comes to frags per game, thus showing that the Leclerc is not a good MBT : it’s simply that the people playing it are good at the game, more so than the Sweden players.
