I think there is an important distinction between demonstrators and prototypes, since the VT-4A1 and M1A2 trophy we have in game are more prototypes.

I’ve never complained about armor, and for what you’re getting it’s not it, -11 km/h of top speed, massive neck, and an S2 turret which get’s lolpenned (not like it’s an insane difference compared to S21, but it’s there)

The devs could not be bothered to fix the obviously underperforming UFP of the Leclerc, so they finally learned how to mash an existing turret on an existing hull (looking at you DF105 instead of the promised AMX13-105).
This will finally be the first real upgrade of the Leclerc since the S1 arrived, so I’m not going to complain about that (I will always continue to complain about the hull armor of the Leclerc tho).
I wonder which ammo we will have access to. German DM, or French OFL or even Shard ?
Also, i am quite afraid of the turret ring armor. They fixed the Abram’s ring only to justify another turret ring weak spot at top tier ?
Also I agree with you, kinda sad they didn’t add the 2022 variant. Would have been cool. Maybe it could come with other 120mm prototypes from the era ?
And then the 130/140mm proto for Germany and France along with like Abram X/1A3, T14… ?
Overall EMBT2022 for Germany would be a downgrade to the leopard 2A7, since it’s a S2 turret and not a S21 (worse armor, optics than S21), but for France a welcomed upgrade

With a bit of luck it hopefully gets something like DM53 though. I think it would be pretty nice if it gets DM53 alongside the better hull armor and hopefully the 2A7V’s hull spall liners.

Doesn’t matter that much when it’s still a Leclerc turret that a 2S38 can pen the breech of frontally, it’s a combo that just doesn’t work

Definitely not. The hull of the Leclerc is the biggest issue of the vehicle armor wise. At least the S21 has workable turret armor even if the weak spots are massive.
And Germany gets to have a better reload for once

But the funny thing, when going hull down, they might not quite know if its a leclerc or leopard and still try shooting the UFP

I value mobility and turret armor, 2A7 turret on a relatively mobile chassis combined with it’s optics and round, would be incredibly lethal on ridgelines even at the cost of reload. Flat ground armor performance on nato mbt’s in top tier means just about nothing as of now with how the current horizontal drives cripple with even the worst of shots.
now that I think about it, it would effectively just be a regular 2A7 or 2A6A3, which i’ve been wanting now for a while to act almost like an analogue of the US SEP’s for the 2A6+'s

The hope (or more like cope) is that maybe they’ll finally fix the leclerc turret issues, just like they fixed the Abrams issues when adding the SEPv3 last update.
I will still enjoy it. I also enjoyed the 2RI even though that had a considerably worse turret thsn the 2A7s armor wise.
Wouldn’t make a considerable difference at 12.7 though with all the 600+ pen darts at that BR.
Another benefit for Germany is that they now finally have a tank with more than 15 rounds in it’s blowout panel rack.

Yes, but it should reach 350mm on driver hatch and up to 600-650 on the rest of the UFP…
That would be insanely funny but realistically i see both nations getting the same ammo. Maybe OFL stock and DM or even shard as modification ?

I also thought the Leo 2 ARC had 130mm compatibility but it’s only been showed with 120mm actually so that’s a bit sad.
EMBT ADT140 is a bit of a stretch in terms of addition. There’s videos of it being test fired, but all the equipment around it is basically wooden mockup (at least the EMBT 2022 only had the APS as a wooden mockup). It’s CAPINT, the spiritual successor of the ADT, that is going to get the full actual testing
Honestly, I’ve never had to deal with running out of RR in the Leopard 2’s, outside of maybe a few games in 2A4’s, probably just due to how I play though.

I’d argue that it would yes. Having near double the armor iirc, would make it possible to bounce a lot more at long range and while somewhat angled in closer range.
Oh I rarely run out either, but it’s still nice to just be able to ripple off rounds without having to worry.
That makes the 120mm Abrams so goated.
