I personally see the MSC being 10.7 given what we know about it.
The armor profile is going to be absolutely terrible on both the hull and turret.
The gun mantlet weak spot area on the MSC is massive… like HUGE… (the left side portion in front of the commander is NOT protected by composite)
That and the armor cavity itself on the hull isn’t anything that even most 105mm APFSDS rounds are going to struggle against…
Combine this with an entirely different autoloader which is given a slower reload rate of 6 seconds and OFL-G1 and I don’t see it being good enough to share the same BR as tanks such as Al-Khalid…
I think it would fit 10.7 perfectly fine; it’s armor is going to be majorly worse than tanks like M1, 2A4, and T-80B but it will enjoy a consistent 6 sec reload rate and good gun handling.
Instead of getting another botched Leclerc, we’re getting a leopard from a country that realistically should have gone to Germany. But actually, we’re also getting another botched Leclerc.
Dunno why they wrote so much about Leclerc just to acknowledge they can’t be bothered modeling Leclerc properly to begin with.
I hope they introduce a 4 second reload for the MSC prototype. In the official video archive from the French Ministry of Armed Forces it is stated that its 3 seconds but I digress.
unfortunately apart from this video presentation I copied from the MSC suggestion page i don’t really have anything. I just hope if they give it crap armor at least it will have the Japanese treatment and get a 4 second reload. I mean even the Leclerc has a button for the gunner to do an emergency reload (3 seconds), its generally set to 5 seconds to avoid wear on parts.
Well i don’t know anything about which doctrine the french are following with their modern mbts, it just feels like thats how the leclerc in game works best. and that playstyle is or at least can be the most rewarding when executed well. But i guess you’re referring to their battle flag “white eagle on white background”? =)
Hey guys,
I’m curious — does anyone know what kind of fire control system the upcoming MSC prototype is going to have?
Will both the commander and gunner have thermal sights? And if so, will they be high-resolution?
Even though the suggestion post was quite clear, you know how Gaijin tends to mix different configurations of a vehicle — like how the Super Étendard ended up with late-model countermeasures but still only has early Magic 1s.
So I’m wondering: is there anything we can realistically hope for beyond what’s listed in the suggestion post?
Also, does anyone know if it will have a LWS?
